Could one of you guys or gals out there do me a favor?
I have been back and forth with different folks trying to get a few digital pics of the Wested collar stand. I have not succeeded in attaining any as of yet.
Would any of you take a few moments to assist me? Post a reply and I will PM you my email so you can send directly to me if you can't post them here on the forum.
Shots I am looking for:
1. the inside of the collar stand
2. the outside of the collar stand
3. the tips of the collar stand, and
4. a "side shot" to see how thick it is.
...also let me know the dimensions of the stand, ie the hieght and thickness and if the dimensions are the same on the front and back.
Thanks.

Interestingly, this jacket's timing was identical to my first - 4 weeks to the day. I ordered it on Monday, August 25th, and it was here on Monday, September 22. We were out of town, so I didn't personally see it until Wednesday evening this week.schwammy wrote:Hey, cabinetman, how long ago did you order yours? I've got one in the works too, going on three weeks now. Just curious.
Junior,
I'll get those pics this morning.

Nice pics Cabby.
Did you order your new jacket with any extra length to the front of it
so it won't "ride up" like the other one?
And you can tell you are a family man! In one of your pics, you can
see your one finger has a bandage on it. And not the single guy, tan
regular band-aid. No, you have the cartoon bunny bandage!
Its nice to see a dad be guy enough to wear his daughters boo-boo
fixers!
I love it!!

That is so funny! Every time I injure myself (which is frequently) I yell out to nobody in particular, "Can't somebody buy something besides #$*@& Barbie Band-Aids?Cabinetman wrote:Actually it's a Rugrats, but that has since gone by the wayside. Needing a fresh one with a bit more cling (read "waterproof"), I am now sporting a lovely Princess Aurora, a.k.a., Sleeping Beauty.
Apparently someone finally listened, as I'm sitting here as we speak with a little kid-sized Blue's Clues bandage on my hand. Not exactly the improvement I had in mind...
Hey, I can't tell, Cabinetman. Is that jacket a lamb or a goat?
Ahh, Rugrats and Barbie... haven't had those rotate through the house yet, but need a Dora the Explorer, or Kermit? I've gotcha covered. We have some Star Wars ones left as well, but they're all mine!
Congrats on the new jacket Cab. Looks a beaut! Can you run over the specs you requested again?

Is that a Raiders jacket? If so, I'd like to point out my one very last remaining gripe with the Wested Raiders jacket. Take a look at the third and sixth pic showing where the collar stand sits on top of the storm flap. If you look at all the Raiders jackets it is not so squared off at the top edge, but nicely rounded. Now, I know you can just order it this way which is what I did, but it would be nice to see that stock on the jackets IMHO. The only thing that really bothers me about this is that when you fold the top of the storm flap over it looks like an arrow sticking out. When it's nice and rounded it sits great. What do you think?

Schwam, schwammy wrote:Not to beat a dead sheep, Cabinetman, but is it the 'authentic' Italian lamb, or the old tried-and-true Wested lamb?
Authentic lamb.
A5,
It's a Raiders. Say, you know it wouldn't be impossible to carefully use a seam ripper on that collar stand corner, do a little trimming, then sew it up rounded. I'll take note next time I see some movie shots. I guess it didn't bother me on my first jacket, and I haven't had this one long enough to see.
I guess you mean when the jacket is zipped, yes?
