Can any owner please provide me the weight of the jacket (better if it's a 42 or near)? Thanks!

Well, i can't provide an exact weight, it is pretty heavy. Mine is near an XXL (even though I only wear an XL) but it is really heavy. The thich cotton lining ads alot of weight.

i don't think my lining is cotton. it's a lightweight nylon from what i can tell. maybe all the weight comes from the inscription :P

I'm trying to understand if this TN is more or less heavy than Wested novapelle, so I need an exact weight to make a comparison. :-k

My TN jacket with Ford's specs weighs in at a hefty 3.75 lbs on a medical grade scale.

There is no gravity in Norway? Sorry but 0.5 kilo DOES make difference.

Yeah, you guys should have seen Nowak T3 Arnie jacket. I put it on in Arnolds Size and nearly fell over. It must have weighed 10lbs...

Thanks Nebraska! My novapelle is 3.96, so it seems it's a little heavier than TN.

i don't understand how novapelle can be heavier than the TN. from the novapelle that wested used on my X-1 jacket, the TN is slightly more substantial a hide. perhaps the batch used for CS/LC jacketts are heavier, i don't know......just reporting my findings :)

Strones, what size jacket do you wear? My Wested novapelle is a 40 regular, and it strikes me as fractionally lighter than my Wested HH.

I understand that Tony's jackets - in addition to their normal heft - are strategically reinforced, which may add to the weight a little.

To me, my LC Novapelle weighs about the same as my TN.....they're both cowhide, so I can't see any significant difference there. However, I love the look of my Novapelle much more than my TN......the color is classic Raiders all the way!

Interesting that they are roughly about the same weight. Makes sense considering that novapelle was Wested's answer to Bernie's task of reproducing the archive jacket in a more durable cowhide. After endlessly poring over CS screencaps, publicity pics and the movie itself, I can scarcely distinguish an overall difference in the novapelle versus Tony Nowak's leather. I think it's a win-win situation for everyone who desires a Crystal Skull jacket.

I do not like the feel of heavy jackets. I find my G&B is too heavy for everyday wear and I own lots of jackets...

Part of the reason I don't think I'll get a Nowak is the bulkiness. Not that it's not an awesome jacket but I'm in the same camp as CM and prefer a lighter jacket. My USW was great tonight in the freezing rain/soon to be snow, but I like lighter for everyday. Cow tends to fell heavy and bulky IMO.

Not sure how much it's going to help but I have the USW limited edition (size M)and its was cut from the same hide as the TN. So, minus the stiching and what not, I can say mine is a very, very heavy jacket. The only other Indy jacket I can compare it to is Todd's standard which is lighter than air.

For what its worth, I love the weight of the hide. There is something to be said about wearing an adventure jacket that feels like it can live through one!!! :)
