Indy's jacket has an open cuff.. and I don't really like those. Maybe it's my short arms or they just do it normally but they go past my wrists and on my hands and it's bothersome.

What kind of sleeve cuffs do you like on your jackets?

As far as I know there are jersey cuffs (elastic/tightening cuffs), button cuffs and open cuffs like Indy's. Don't know what else there is

To tell you the truth I like all three. Although I have more jackets with an open cuff.

haha I see the majority are voting for open/Indy cuff.. Is that just because they're SA?

Don't they bother you, like going past your wrist into your hand.. or did you have them specially measured to your length?

I like the feeling of something constricting around instead of loose

It really depends on the jacket. On most leather jackets, I like open cuffs...maybe add a zip at the wrist. Overcoats and work jackets, I like buttons. Track jackets, I like elastic.

Although I love the look of A-2, I am not fond of the knits at the wrist and the waist. However, when I was younger my favorite jacket was an A2. I guess my tastes have changed in that regard.

i wear a watch, so i don't like to be constricted at the wrist. if you get a jacket that fits you, the sleeves shouldn't be going too far past the wrist.

it also doesn't *hurt* to have the open cuffs be SA. ;-)

I don't like the look of wool knits on a leather jacket - spoils the lines IMO.

I don't know about Strones, but now I want elastic cuffs, in fact I want an elastic jacket with leather cuffs. Thank you for allowing me to find the true path. :notworthy:

I don't really have a preference, but a lot of winter coats come with an internal knit cuff while looking unfettered. Should be an easy mod on an SA jacket, but likely to be a bit warm in the summer.

for me it depends on the jacket, knit cuffs on Indy would change the look. On the A-2 it fits. I like both

I am not a big fan of knit cuffs on any jacket. I have two athletic jackets that have knit cuffs and I almost never wear them due to the knit cuffs. I also changed my work uniform jacket 2 years ago from a knit cuff to a button cuff and leave them unbuttoned until the weather turns really cold.

I will add that if I decide to get another Indy jacket down the road, I own two, I would probably ask to get a more tapered arm and a smaller hand opening.

hahahahahaha, that was a gem :)
Heck, I don't even want the jacket, I just the elastic cuffs. That's all. I'll sport'em ;-) Elastic cuffs all day. Not to be confused with wristbands.
Just Elastic cuffs. New fashion trend?

Zippers are the most versatile to me. When unzipped, you have a nice relaxed looking sleeve cuff (like the barrel cuffs) but when the temperature drops and you are on a motorcycle, a quick zip keeps the wind out.

I've had every kind listed and then some. Open cuffs have proven to be most comfortable for me. I have big wrists, and I like both air-flow and flexibility. Heck, I won't even wear a wrist watch! Good thing Indy shares my jacket tastes. ;-)
