I'm really happy how they turned out Hope you like them as well.

Oh oh oh! I just got my regular AB back from Steve and it has a liner like this (except without the really cool lookin light blue outline yours has)! I have to say, as soon as I started examining my hat, the liner just blew me away.
The most impressive part is the way it feels - it feels thick and tough, and not thin like the Ra liner. I think you guys made an awesome choice with the logo, the embroidery instead of printing (SO cool), and the texture of the liner piece.
Thanks guys!!
Shane

Ok, off my soapbox

Thank you Dave! I've finally come to end with my personal hat quest now. After... 18 years Last year, I made a Raiders Fedora for myself, using a rawbody from the CS felt batch - the closest I could come to having "Indy's hat". I left the liner out, 'cause I thought that one day in the future, I'd eventually change it anyway and I had enough other stuff to look for ;-) I also didn't add the small tie bow to the back of the sweatband, as I usually do that after I've sewn the liner in and since only I was supposed to wear it anyway... who cares. I wore the hat to the summit at Peter's place close to London last year and have since worn it in Denmark, Germany (pretty much every single day), Madeira and Switzerland. Just before leaving for Sicily this year, the prototype arrived and I sew it in together with the little tie bow on the sweatband. It was almost magical and I could have peed on myself when I was done. You see, usually when I got a hat earlier, I was happy for a couple of months and then the pickyness used to take over and make me look further. THIS one however, I have owned for fourteen months now and I'm happier then ever - especially now that it's finally finished. It has gotton a few scratches and stains along the way (all natural distressing) and the color has faded into the perfect Raiders brown. This is the last piece in - granted - a puzzle with rather few pieces, but that doesn't make it less challenging. You may have done the only thing that can make the ABD better than it was before.
Ok, off my soapbox
Regards,
Marc

Sure! But it's just some quickly made snaps with the hat resting on my bath tub, so no fancy publicity shots here (which I'm not able to make with my skills anyway).
Here you go:
I need to fix the back part of the bow, as it's not supposed to have a flying V there, but other then that I'm perfectly happy.
Regards,
Marc

Well, THAT settles it for me...
So Marc,
If you're cool with it, when I order my ABDlx from you...
Rather than write "I'm looking for an 'Idol Grab'"
or
"a 'Well of Souls'"
or
"a 'Raven Bar'"...
I think I'm going to ask for "a 'Marc's Bath Tub'"
And no... Im NOT kidding, actually.
Beautiful,
Beautiful Lid.
Mitch

RIGHT you (kinda') ARE , g!
"Drinkin' With a Monkey" was always my FIRST Choice of bash (and still IS - I'm waiting on it NOW in the form of a Magnoli Herbert Johnson by way of the very capable hands of Mr. Steve Delk!)
But I learned pretty early on after joining this Club that it was INEVITABLE that I'd eventually order an AB Deluxe from Marc (was wrestling with the specifics of the bash, though...)
But now that I've seen what's sitting on the side of Marc's tub... I KNOW what I want!
...
Wait...
Wow...
I did NOT think I would ever write THAT sentence...

Thanks for the kind (and funny) remarks!
However there is no specific bash or distressing behind this hat. I just gave it a generic Raiders crease (incl. the turn) and wore it. It kinda morphs from one scene to the other and back again without anything added from my side. Started out pretty much like the PR picture taken on Hawaii, turned into an idol grap scene and then - just before leaving to Sicily - the wind got a hold of it and you could see me chasing the hat over a field close to where I live, just before my hiking boots got a hold of it Looked pretty much SOC right there
All I do is giving it a thin layer of water repellent 2-3 times a year and to wear it every day. From doing so, the felt has actually become smoother then it was from the beginning and the few stains and scratches are something that have their own little stories to it - which makes it more personal to me

Marc
