Oh, and that front photo is done in a mirror, so no, the bow isn't on the wrong side.

EDIT: I inverted the photo, so it should be fine now.

What I meant was, what vendor do you think it is from. I know its a popular game, but I wanna play too. I am always the guesser, now I want someone to guess mine.

Any other guesses? I'll hold out telling you until I get some more. I want to see how many get it right.

My guess would be far of JPD or PB...there far too good in quality plus the dimensions in crown height are wrong for the PB and ribbon is too far out for it to be a JPD. The bow is throwing me...with the look of the felt I would guess a dorfman with a todds replacement ribbon....it has a heck of a lot of taper.

Yup. Cheap Dorfman. That's the only thing I'm missing is a good hat. The first thing I ever bought was this "official" Dorfman, and I've learned so much since then. Now that I have Noel Howard gear and Aldens and Wested and such, I'm embarassed that my Fedora is a Dorfman.

I'll have to find a way of getting a nice replacement for under $200 that has an LC look.

I'm not an hats expert: it seems a wool felt to my eyes, perhaps a DP.

The ribbon screams todd but the colour of the felt had me mistake it for a hj for a minute...it looks the spit of the cockpit hat in Temple Of Doom....I mean that as a compliment though

Yeah, I rebashed the Dorfman and swapped the ribbon for a Todd's. It'll do for now as a close enough, compared with what a DP looks like out of the box, but definitely won't be my "Indy Hat".

I keep saying this and probably sounding like an annoying cheerleader but with the exchange rates the way they are right now, you can get a Fed IV for under $100.

I was having a hard time finding the exact hat on the Akubra website, and the one I found on David Morgan's site appears to be pretty much black.

What am I missing?

Federation is an Hatsdirect exclusive, you can't find it on the Akubra website.

Great! Can someone post a great link to how to get the correct bash since they only sell open crown? Do Fed IV owners bash the hats themselves, or do they have it done for them somewhere?

I bashed my DP. Is it that easy, or is there a trick?

Here is a bashing guide that someone else had posted.

http://www.vessillologia.it/Raidersbash ... torial.htm

There really isn't a trick. I was able to get a satisfactory LC bash on my Fed IV in just a few minutes, and I had never bashed a hat before.

The current Fed price is great. I checked the price the other day and you can get a Fed IV Deluxe for less than I paid for my Standard back in April.
