Crambes hats - The DP ISNT' the worst

Post by Restless Dreamer »

Have you ever heard about Crambes? They sell "Indiana Jones Authentic Hats" in Disneyland Paris. The have the official license, and they are even worse than DP.

The are made of wool, and they are stiff as plastic. When I went to Disneyland Paris (been there 8 times, I'll never grow tired of that place!) in summer 2007 I wasn't much expert in Indy's gear (nor I am now), and I got blinded by the Official License: as a result I bought a COTTON SAFARI HAT believing it was Indy's hat -- yeah, send me the mob with the torches and all the stuff.

Here's a photo:

I noticed nobody ever mentioned Crambes, in this forum. Didn't you know about it, or you just tought I would have been blasphemous to give even the most little importance to that aberration?

I don't recall it ever being mentioned, but it's not that bad for a canvas hat...and officially licensed as well? Good, bad, or indifferent, it deserves mentioning being licensed by Lucasfilm!

Let's see some more photos!

I think it's sold only in France, maybe that's the reason why none of you knew about it
but it's not that bad for a canvas hat...
it is indeed! can it be a cotton hat shrinks? well, this one shrinked and got distorted just by being worn alot -- I never soaked it

Let's see some more photos!
:)

Looks just like the old canvas Stetson line, and yes, they can indeed shrink if they get soaked.

Next time I go to Disneyland Paris, I'll have to see them just for curiosity and see if they had other Indy stuff.
But I won't do "Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril". Every times I ride this roller coaster, one of my vertebra pop out... It have the worst seat I can think of.... :x

they have some t-shirts, but nothing more. for example, the Disneyland leather jacket I keep hearing about in this forum...never seen it.

and BTW, I think Space Mountain is even worse, for the seats. your head keeps bouncing and bouncing like in a milkshaker: you have to push the back of your head very hard on the backseat to keep it still and avoid a hard headhache. In comparison, Indy's roller coaster is a sweet ride.

(sorry for this little OT, guys  )

I never have a problem with Space mountain, their seat are all leather and "confortable" whereas in Indy it's all hard plastic. But you're right it's OT.

I remember a few years back (8 years ago I think....) they have the leather jacket and Fedora, but I wasn't so much into gears so I don't look for the details and brands.
