I personally don't trust the seller. I tried to commission some of my items for them to sell that they can't tell a mountain from a hole in the ground.

That ribbon and that bow say, "NO!"
It might be a Stetson, but that's as close as it gets IMHO.

thats not even the right bash. someone needs to inform ebay of this scam before some rich snot buys it and tries to log on here with his 'authentic' fedora.

".....but...but....guys....i paid $6500....it's got to be real....sniff...sniff...."

i wouldn't wipe the baby elephants butt with that thing.

The ribbon looks like a replacement. If this was purchased for TOD, I doubt it saw any screen time.

if it indeed saw screen time....why replace the ribbon with something far inferior to what was on their before? this auction is bogus. and if it was indeed real.....the hat was ruined.

if you want to see a TOD hat....give me a couple weeks ;-)

I don't believe him either! The crown isn't tall enough, I know that the TOD Fed was (for some of us) the worst Indy fedora, but common!

Regarding the crown, it looks like it was pushed in a lot, so the crown might be the right height, it's just the less-than-average IQ people they have working there might have not figured out that you can't wear a hat with the crown pushed way in like that.

It is a Stetson. Received photos of it today from the auction.

I think this might be the same guy who wanted us to believe he owned a stetson from the plane scene in TOD. Which was BS. Bu hey, if he wants to believe it, I don't :)

Hey guys, this is just one of the Stetsons of the day. That ribbon was an optional color besides the dark brown one. I've seen them on ebay a couple of times.

Considering it sold for about $2,499 more than it is worth, the seller still made out like a bandit.

$6500, $2500, $500......what's the difference? i am a big fan of TOD....big fan. the hat that i see in those pics....isn't worth the fedex bill i would have to pay to get it picked up.

perhaps uncle george or steven wore this hat in the air strip scene when they were in the background.....deep in the background....so deep that you'd remember seeing the crates more than the fact that there were actually people in the background. if that's the case,....then yeah, i still wouldn't pay the fedex bill for it if it were free.

now the question is......and its the golden question....what scene in the movie features this hat on ford's head? i think you'd have a better chance convincing an indy fan that this hat was worn by mola ram in the heart ripping scene than claiming ford wore it..........
