Well, after a pretty long wait, I finally got my Rugged 405's. Adam at Alden of Carmel was great to work with, and answered my emails within hours, and never longer than a day. I bombarded him with tons of questions back when I placed my order, and he graciously answered every one as it it were the first.
My biggest worry was that the new batch of Ruggeds would NOT have the metal eyelets for the laces, but alas they were there. These puppies are indeed "rugged", so the name befits them well. The leather is nice and "oily", and Adam suggested that I don't polish OR treat them for a long while. He told me the the leather used is very conditioned, and shouldn't need any treatment of quite some time.
Anyway, enough of the talk, check out the boots.
Dig these treads, lol.
I only wore them for a few hours, since the weather as been too warm, and I would look rather strange sporting these with a pair of shorts.
Soon as fall arrives, I'll have these suckers attached to my feet till next summer.
