New rjallen nylon whip

Post by Magno »

About a month ago I started talking to rjallen about getting a custom nylon whip made. I ordered an 8 foot braid with an 8 in. handle, with black and tan coloring. Jsut for me - this is my ideal whip.

This is what she looks like...

I'm truly in love with this whip. It handles perfectly - just as well as any hide I've handled, and then some - and this thing is LOUD with hardly any effort put into it.

As it stands this is probably my favorite whip...

Here's a short video of me with it. I took this 5 minutes after opening it up so please excuse how rusty I am with it. I was still getting to know the whip.

Thanks again Ron...very happy customer and do not be surprised if I come to you again in the future.

Hi Magno :D

it's always good to hear that someone is pleased with their new whip....congratulations :D

Ron...can you answer me a couple of questions...

1/ What is that popper made from? I love the colour of it...(or is that the photo making it look that colour)

2/ Is there a reason you don't use checkerboard in the handle section?

Best Wishes

Hi,

nice whip :) Only the TH is a bit too flat for me.

Is Ron making stockwhips?

Karol

Tony,
I think that cracker is grass stained masons twine...it was white when new.
I may have sent some poly-pro crackers as well...they are tan.
Also, I do checkerboards, double diamonds, coachwhipping, and barber pole by request. (Indy guys always want the checkerboard). In this case it was made from a photo selected by Magno.

Kiscien,
No stockwhips, just Bulls and snakes.
I have been wanting to try one, maybe if I ever get caught up.
Ron

Magno,
Nice vid...for being rusty it looks pretty good to me. :) Post another in a couple if weeks!

Thanks for the kind words guys, this whip really is something special and I would reccomend Ron to anyone in the nylon department...

Shagbd, I don't have any pictures of the specific parts and I just put my camera equipment away. I can try to get some for you later if you wish, but I assure all the details are fine - I don't miss things like that.

Indywhips, it looks like Ron already go to your questions. The popper was a white nylon when it arrived but it's darkened with use. And Ron does do various patterns, but I liked the way this style looked on another whip so I asked for it this way. You can have him do whatever you want on the handle.

And rjallen...I'll definitely try to get some more videos up next week or something, after I'm done syncing with the whip
