Akubra care mystery word
OK, so there is this video regarding the care and feeding of your Akubra:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8ZWy3HfT7w
and at roughly 1:45 the fellow says that shrinkage of a sweatband on a hat that's a perfect fit can be prevented by the:
"simple application of a HIDEFUDD to the untanned side of the leather sweatband."
Of course he doesn't say "HIDEFUDD," "HIDEFORD" or any of the other words I have tried to figure out. Or at least I don't think so.
So tell me, hat gurus, what is this mystery substance? And what say you of this chap's advice?

It is my firm belief that Michaelson is in fact some alien librarian sent to earth by beings from another dimension. Either that or he has a huge brain like those guys in that Star Trek episode!!laughograms wrote:Ah, trust the knower of things to come through.Michaelson wrote:Hide food. That's a term used for leather dressing.
Regards! Michaelson
...for the record, those were in fact supposed to be some type of compliment
