Went and ordered an AB Deluxe

Post by jnicktem »

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered myself an AB Deluxe from Marc. I figured it would be a wise choice to pay a little more and get a hat that I can wear for the rest of my life, considering I am only 20.

And now the waiting begins... 8)

Great choice indeed. it's well worth the wait. His hats will last you not only your life but I would think your kids life. Marc is nothing more than top quality materials and craftmenship.

Congrats on a wise choice

Thanks Oak, I plan on getting one of your hats sometime in the future (once I have money again...) as well. Maybe one for those dressier occasions...

Congrats, jnicktem!
You and I are on separate paths to the same destination...

I just mailed my Money Order to BendingOak this very afternoon for one of his amazing Penman Hats.

The continuously replenishing pile of pocket-change that accumulates on my bedroom night-table has now been reassigned for the noble cause of financing one of Steve Delks "AdventureBilt" Fedoras...

And one day (hopefully not TOO far into the future) it will THEN be devoted to saving up for one of Marc's amazing AB Deluxes...

But whatever order either of us (or ANY of us at COW) DO this in, you've made a GREAT choice!
All the Best,
Mitch

Great to hear jnicktem as I ordered an ABD last month.

Mitch,
Perhaps Marc could put you on a payment plan to get an ABD? Then at least you can get the ball rolling earlier.

I...
Uh...
*spluttering*
...WHAT?!

JC1972, are you just yankin' my chain? Is there really such a thing?
Does Marc agree to such arangements?
If so, I didn't know ANYTHING about that!
Are you being serious?

Mitch, I am going to be making 3 payments to Marc for my AB Deluxe... 3 payments of 133 euro, it makes it sooo much easier for me. I could pay for it all right now, but I wouldn't be able to eat for at least a month!

My guess is that Mitch just fell off his chair, went pale and had to go lie down for a bit

Funny, I never heard of a payment plan for an ABD either. This just might make ordering an ABD something that is possible within the next year for me :D .

But for now I'll remain waiting not very patiently for my Henry to arrive.

Regards, Geert

I am not sure how much Marc advertizes the "payment plan," but when I was PM'ing him about ordering one he told me I could pay in 3 installments, if it makes it easier for me, which it does!

jnicktem...
I'll keep it short:

Thank you.

I didn't realize this was an option and I'll be sending Marc a note first thing tomorrow morning.
I owe ya' one, buddy.
Mitch

(And gwyddion, you're HALF right... I didn't fall outta my chair, but you COULDA knocked me over with a feather!)

Haha, no problem! Like I said earlier, I probably could have paid for the whole thing, but it would be tough living for me for the next month or so.

This does make it a lot easier for those with *cough* low *cough* incomes!

Plus, Marc said something about possibly having an apprentice (if he makes it to Marc's HIGH standards!) which would speed up the process a bit.
