Pleats and stuff, for the millionth time....

Post by indyrocks »

Well guys, let's be friends here and keep this one going!

I was trying to say that I agree with Mechanic. The pleats in the stunt pic seem to be of a different stitch. They don't seem like pleats at all, but more like a seam. If looking at the jacket straight on from the back on the stunt pic it seems like a plain seam, but in the idol grab or any other scene with Ford's actual hero jacket it looks like a slightly tucked under seam, the actual "pleat."

I know this is not very articulate and I need to draw some lines on pics to point out specifically what I mean.

I have to agree. I don't see any pleats on Leonard's jacket. Like was said in the other thread, an assistant director was filming the truck scene while Spielberg worked on other scenes. The shots of Ford were filmed later with him being dragged on carpet or plywood (I need to watch the "making of" DVD again) so it's more than likely a different jacket.

I have to agree with the Mechanic, et al, on this one.

Guys. The other thread will be back when we get done dealing with it.
Do not start anymore duplicate threads.
