Costumebase shirt review

Post by rjallen70 »

Picked this up while waiting for a Todd's shirt.
A decent close enough is all it is.
Thin material, clear buttons, short epauletts.
Pleats look ok.
I prefer the looks of this to the other close enoughs out there.
Best offer price was $18. Shipping was $12.
Compared with Todd's.

They both fit about the same.
Smallish slender fitting med.
The shirt tail is shorter on the El cheapo.

Oh wow... I think that looks pretty good, I even like the color better than some. BUT how thin is the material, I like 'em really thin preferably like a NH as much as possible. Is it a thin poplin or do you know what material? How does it compare thickness wise to the Todd's?

About the size, do you normally wear a medium and the costumebase fits like a slim cut medium? I wear a medium shirt, but based on the costumebase size chart I should order a large (chest 40-45). I want the "slim fit" but want to be able to close the buttons!

regards,

Jeff

The costumebase buttons look poor, but I think the color is in the ballpark.

I would go with the large if you wear med normally.
I wear med normally, and it is border line.
