JPD! (Just Plain Delightful) -->with pics!

Post by Indiana Green »

After weeks of agonizing patience, I came home today to find a large box from Texas on the table. MAAAN was I excited. Lo and behold, I opened it to find a perfect Raiders hat. Soft felt, great shape and I love the liner! Thanks a bunch Jimmy, you are indeed an artist sir. Oh, and I know I'll get some "thread is worthless without pics" replies, but I assure you, pics are coming!

When?

Really though, congratulations! Can't wait to see it and hear your further assessment of the hat. Is this the beaver or rabbit?

Cheers!

It's the $160 rabbit, thought it's soft as heck. And thanks Michaelson, you never disappoint   As we speak, I'm uploading pics from my camera (if the stupid thing would work right) and as soon as I load them to photobucket they'll be here for your viewing pleasure!

Okay! Here they are, as promised, along with a quick review. The hat itself is alot stiffer than expected. This is not a bad thing, just new to me. Also, this hat has a great stovepipe shape and holds an Idol Grab bash very well (which is what I requested). I have tweaked it a little since opening it, but not much! The ribbon is one of my favorite things about this hat, it's a nice chocolate color and the bow is great. Anyway, here are some pics!

Well, that's my hat! I love it and I'm going to wear the heck out of it. Thanks again Jimmy, beautiful work.

Wonderful looking hat. I've always like JP's hats. Congrats on the acquisition.

Very Nice! He's on my list of hats to consider for my next indy hat, which won't come for a long time, lol. Well, he's not on the list, but his hats are. I love the look of that felt. Does the stiffness effect how soft to the touch it is?

It's stiff but the felt is still very soft to the touch. I've worked the hat a little bit, smashed the crown, rolled the brim, etc. and it still holds shape so that's a plus.

Congratulations! Jimmy's hat's are second to none. Don't be in too much of a hurry to break it in, it will soften up soon enough just by putting is on, taking it of, and just wearing in general. My JPD is getting better every day! I like the way he stitched your name in the liner. Is this something new he offers, or did you request it specifically?

Thanks for the kind words everyone! The embroidered name must be standard because I don't remember ever asking for it. It's a really nice touch though.
