What is your hat size?

Post by senkusha »

I guess I've got a really small head, since I see a lot of sizes on eBay up in the 7 area. I walked into a hat shop not too long ago and tried on several hats before finding that I think I'm a 6 7/8, slightly long. So, I'm just curious, what size are you?

When I measured my head it was a 58.6 cm, so a 59 always fits. Some hats which are 58 fit as well, but those seem to be on the bigger side of 58

Senkusha, I'm on the other end of the scale at 24", which results in a tight fitting 7 5/8 or a slightly loose fitting 7 3/4 on my noggin.:D

A little over 7 3/4 (63 cm, actually).

When I ordered my HJ many, many years ago, Swales asked my head size.

When I told him, he cleared his throat and said, "Pardon me?" I told him again and he said he'd have to search the shop but thought he might have one for me, which he did - but I thought his reaction to an above average sized noggin' was funny.

morethanatimelord,
Can I (we) trust that if you DO get this very special hat that you'll share your good fortune with all of us by way of some photos?
I ask, because
(1) you've done a great job in the past of providing some greast shots of your hat
and
(2) because I'm a selfish so-and-so and a sucker for a nice photo with a great hat in it.
Keep us posted, okay?
And Good Luck!

I have a 61.5cm long oval head. (and yes, it is the head I was born with, not somebody else's)

Ugh.

I'm sorry to hear that, brother...
It's been a couple of years since I've used a bidding website, but back when I DID there WERE a few occasions when some "Belloq" snuck in at the last second to steal away a little treasure that shoulda been mine...

:x

...so, believe me when I say I know what you're feeling...

And I know it makes you feel sick in your gut.
Sorry to hear it.

Lastly, I know you probably don't want to hear this right now but I'll say it anyway:
Buck up. Keep your chin up. The one thing you can say about life is that you never know what it's going to take from you OR what it's gonna offer you.
Another shot at an AB might be somewhere out there waiting for you yet.

All the Best, man.
