No offense, 3thou, but is there a reason you can't contain all your Winston hat posts in one thread? I can see bumping your original post, but it's a bit redundant to keep starting new threads just to advertise it. If you let me know which thread you wish to contain everything in, I can lock down the others so to keep everything in one place and the halls tidy.

(I still wish my FedIV would've worked for you, btw.)

Bink, the bump on the old post was my doing, was combing thru the way-back machine and found a common thread (pun intended) to 3KB's theory.

And to point out that he has been at this for some time.

I realize that, Piker, but this thread was started after your bump. I'm just trying to keeping a clean house, since it makes perfect sense to keep this in one or two threads instead of continuously adding new ones, especially since there is a direct link to the "sales" thread here, making this one a bit redundant. Besides, I get to clean out the deadwood in this section that accrues over the months, so if I can cut down on that work ahead of time...

$3K, i tip my hat back when it's hot out for sure....but i find it most comfy when it's sitting on my brow.

i'm not sure i understand though......why is the finished winston so tight? is it the block? you're saying that your finished hat will be a sub 57 sized hat which means a 57 head will need to tip it back for a comfy fit. what if you're a size 56.....you can wear it normally then?

i really do like that back tilt and its been a quest of mine for some time now. i have a couple of nice AB's that are perfect in the crown except for the back tilt and i just don't have the heart to beat the stiffener out of it to get that effect (per steve's observations). i do like the idea of a block that will provide this feature.......i just wish yours would fit me

Well, if you've already read the first threads and decided a really tight hat is a completely ridiculous idea, out of the question for comfort reasons, you might not bother to read it anymore when the old thread resurfaces for a moment. I was just trying to get some to rethink the comfort issue. But everyone's seen it by now, so I don't mind if you put this and the pinball thread under the "Who wants a Winston 360?" thread.
