I new there was a reason i did not go to work today. I found not, one, not two ,but three High Powers in my local gun shop. One was immediately out being a very modern looking stainless version made by Browning in utah.
That left a made in Belgium by FN with modern adjustable sights and a "made in Belgium assembled in Portugal" model with the tangent rear sight. I bought this one. it came with a soft case, leather DeSantis holster and 6 magazines for a little over $800. Not too bad I think.
finally got a High Power

I will post pics as soon as i can. Due to the laws here in Maryland. I cannot pick it up until next Saturday.
I have not been to the museum myself; but, a friend did go there while in Utah on business. It resulted in him ordering a new Hi Power, so beware.
Truly though, it sounds incredible. They have a reproduction of JMB's original small workshop and one realizes, it's not the tools, it's the craftsman. There are good biographies of Browning as well as video documentaries. Check it out and report.
