Well, I threw in the towel and asked for a refund today. So, there should be an extra around for anyone that wants it.... ;)

Haven't heard anything and that's ok with me, no hurry, it took 8 months for my hat, 4 for my jacket...so I'm use to it. I just hope that if he is shipping soon that I can get my new address to him, since I'm off for the summer (#### teachers :D )

Well, the week is almost over and still heard nothing from KN... I think I am just going to ask for a refund myself, if I don't hear from him soon... How many people have received the guns so far?

I've received mine - Due to unforseen financial circumstances I would be willing to let it go for what I paid for it.

Two things. Waiting on more lanyard rings and more brass for ammunition. As soon as those are done I can assemble the gun and ship it out.

Sorry about the lack of updates, I know it's frustrating. Will get better.
Here's the latest update I got from KN on July 4th... and it's the 12th today....

I got an update from KN, he said my gun was being cast and finishing the little imperfections. He does not have any Lanyard rings come in yet so that is likely the big hold up guys. I can understand people's frustrations, but patience I think is the key. KN is trying to do the best he can if you need to talk to him ASAP his e-mail is info@moviepropservices.com. That is what he put in my PM.

Update.

Just received an e-mail from KN - this is what he wrote:
The guns up to the April orders are ready to go and your order is started, cast and painted. Need to add a couple little things. Shoudn’t be much longer.
I mailed him to his work address - got a reply immediately. He also regrets not being out on the forums. I suggested he come here and post an update.

Hey has anyone heard anything lately?? I recieved an email back on July 23 and he said my gun was ready and packed and that he would ship it off on the next run....well I emailed him saying I wasn't going to be at the address he has until sept (darn thing being a teacher) and he never responded and the package was never delivered to that address or else it would have been sitting in the office.

If anybody knows anything it would be greatly appreciated. Oh and by the way I emailed a few times since then and have heard nothing

Well, I pretty much got the same email (ready and good to go) about 3 weeks ago... still nothing. I emailed him again last week to his work address, but still haven't heard anything back from him. I gotta tell ya though... My patience is getting really thin here...

This is ridiculous, and no one should be afraid to say so.

KingNothing isn't doing us a favor here, folks -- making props for fans in his free time out of the goodness of his heart. We're paying customers who deserve what we paid for and were promised. He's got the money but he isn't delivering the goods. I'd give patience and understanding a chance if he were willing to respond to PMs and or provide regular updates, but he hasn't taken the time or care to do even that. How long is too long? If this transaction is legitimate on his end, what could possibly be holding him up so much that he can't post an update here in this thread -- a thread that he started and once responded to regularly? I want to believe that I'll be getting my gun soon, but that same belief has had me waiting in vein for over two months so far, and all signs point to more waiting through the months to come.

I'm asking for my money back today. If I don’t get a response, I'm taking immediate action through PayPal. I suggest that those of you who are in a similar situation do the same. Decency, or a sense of customer commitment haven't been enough incentive for him to respond to us so far. What's to say we won't be waiting in this limbo state forever?

Vote with your wallet, gents. There's simply no other way to send a concerted message -- and it's well warranted at this point. Perhaps if we all walk - not just threaten to walk, but go through the proper course of action to get our funds back, he'll deliver. If not, we're only prolonging the inevitable.

This is no way for a paying customer to be treated. It may be trite to say, but KingNothing is living up to his name.

Best Regards,
Jonesing

Well if anyone's notice I've edited ALL of my post's on this subject.
Why you ask, well I recieved my resign 1917.
It wasn't what I expected. It had issues. Got a partial refund with an email saying he'd send out new grips and cylinder replacement w/a confirmation # by a certain date. I gave him one week past that date and requested a full refund. Sent the resign peice back and got my remaining $$$ back.

Best way I found is to go to his web site and email him that way.

Good luck to all those who've been waiting, what close to a year now.

So far the guys that should be waiting are:
Indiana Lurch
Falcon
gi_canuck
IndianaChris711
Chachap
Indiana_Jonesing

I also have others on RPF.

What I will do is just issue refunds. Everyone is right and this has taken too long. Although shorter than it takes to get an AB.

All will be paid back as soon as the income from work allows.

Basically the answers are I took on too much to handle and am swamped with no light at the end of the tunnel. So instead of having everyone sit around and get ticked (which is fair, as if I was in the same situation), I'll just send everyone that ordered and hasen't received anything a refund.

I'm sorry. This is just unexcuseable, and I hope that I can make amends further down the road when it's less chaotic

KN -- Thanks for popping in to address the board; I'd also gotten an unsolicited PM update from you, so I don't feel like I've been left totally hanging in the dark here.

Anyway, I'm fine with the REFUND-IN-FULL plan, as I hate to let these 'loose ends' things carry on, and it's been something like 3-mos. since delivery was promised. So, I'll look for that to show up in my PP account at your earliest reasonable opportunity.

Please keep me in mind, should you get back on track, and have a 'shippable' piece on hand to sell ..... Could you post some pics of the FINISHED work, though, as there have been some 'lukewarm' reports on the product people are receiving.

EDIT: I just reviewed the images on page 5 & 6, esp. the ones you took of the piece you were getting ready to ship -- from the looks of those pics -- I'm still interested, when you can have one ready to go.

Cheers.

KN - sorry to hear that you are giving up the ship but hey if you're swamped then I can understand. I didn't mind the waiting it was the no communication that made me paranoid more then anything. Well I hope you maybe will try this again in the future. I was really hoping for a gun because I'm in Canada and getting a gun across the border, even a resin one is extremely hard. Hopefully you will keep me in mind next time you decide to try this...good luck in the future, sir

KN-That is alright that you have to give it up. Maybe there is a point in the future you might be able to do these guns. Like Indiana Lurch I was not worried about how long it was going to take, just a matter of some type of communication. I ordered a AB shirt in March and I still have not seen my second AB shirt. I probably need to e-mail Marc again and see what is up on that. As far as an Indy gun, I really want one from you KN, it looked so nice. I may just end up with an Artsee or something else. Anyway, hope to purchase one from you next time around and good luck to you.

I have not either, I was going to ask the very same question in a week or so. I remember him saying he had to save up money to refund everyone left, so it may be a while.

Hey guys@ I just posted this on the RPF, so I will offer here too.

Okay so I'm starting to process the refunds now. I also have 3 guns ready to rock, and I'll be emailing the people in line about receiving them. I also wanted to mention if anyone wants a refund in the form of a Todds Raiders jacket (size large), or an akubra raiders fedora, and some money. I could send that in lieu of money! Just let me know. Otherwise I will send the refund to your paypal address sent to me.

Thanks for the understanding everyone.

Has anyone here got their refund for this? I ordered one on the RPF months ago. I asked for a refund at the end of Aug. and still nothing. I got a rude reply around the 10th of him saying that it would be on or before the 30th of Sept. Well it is now the 29th and nothing not even a reply from my last email a week or so ago. So now how do you go about getting the money back since paypal only covers the first 30 or so days.

What he did for me was he just sent the money back through pay pal, and I also recieved a curt reply when I too made inquireys. In his defense, he has to earn the money to put in his pay pal account and then refund. I'm assuming he has a few to refund. Be patient.

Let's just say I was getting a little tired of answering the same question every four or so days. But yeah maybe I shouldn't have been so sarcastic.

Anyways....

I'm just doing new moulds right now. I'll take some pics tonight to show. The only differences between the new guns and old, will be the cylinder can't swing out. And the yoke and extraction rod will be cast as on peice. It was too time consuming to get the holes drilled to line up perfectly. Everything else will be the same. And I guess one more thing, I'll be sourcing grip screws so the grips will be screwed on like the real not glued. There might be a tad bit of glue, not 100% sure yet, as I don't have the moulds done.

Thanks guys!

Good luck Kingnothing in this new venture and I mean that. The only advice I can give you is to only ask for money when your ready to ship. I think that was one of my hang up's. Take a lesson from ROOKS Webley run. I've had my name on the list for months and since I haven't had to pay him, it make waiting much more enjoyable.

I'm assuming since the gun will no longer have moving parts as such, it should make production easier? Does that mean you'll adjust the price likewise? One of the things that originally interested me in this thread was seeing a "working" resin repro.

Croft, yeah for sure. I just needed the inital amount to get the money to purchase silicone, resin, etc etc. But now I will be doing a gun first then money. Which is always easier.

Bink... I never really intended the cylinder to be functional, but yes it will be a bit cheaper as there is less work. But everything else will be the same. (Real dummy rounds, lanyard ring), with the addition of better cast grips too. (two peice mould instead of one).

I'll still consider it if that's a big deal to make the cylinder swing.....

I was under the impression that the only "functionality" was that you could swing the cylinder open at all. I can understand that doing so would involve considerably more work, hence charging accordingly for that work. While I think the idea is cool, it wouldn't be a huge deal to me personally (I can't speak for anyone else) especially since I own a real S&W. THAT gun I expect to work!

Without the 'functionality' I'd really want to know what the adjusted price is BEFORE committing -- the swingout cylinder was one feature I though set this prop apart from the 'Artsy', etc. already available...

Hmmmmm well that's interesting. I never really desinged it to be a "selling point'! It was always the best way to have everything work and have the items numbered. The only thing is that the cylinder was pressure fit, so I was afraid if it's moved too much the yoke or something would break.

Maybe I'll just make it a little looser fitting, but still manageable... We'll see.... :)

Lurch,
Whatever you wish. You will be getting a new gun if you don't have one. If you have one and would like a new version, you just have to send the old version back and I'll send a new one. Or I could refund. It's totally your call as to what you feel the most comfortable with.

Well, since you still have my money and I really want a gun for my holster, I'll take a gun. Are the new guns gonna be cheaper then what I paid for the original run???

:[ So will they be ready for halloween??? :[ Just thought I'd ask. Can I assume the people on the first list get their guns first

I hope everything goes right for you this time and good luck

Here what I got back from KN in an e-mail lurch, he said to pass it along.
The moulds are being poured and jacketed now. My internet here is real sporadic for the next couple days, so I’m just firing this off quick. I’m really excited for this new stuff. I’m doing it right so there will be little time in between making them and finishing.
Hope that gives people expecting a gun what is going on right now. :)

I'm just now coming into this thread. Does KN offer this gun unfinished (paint wise) and unassembled? I'd be interested in painting my own gun ala kit model style.

No news. King Nothing had agreed through PMs we exchanged in September to have a finished prop gun to me by November 22, 2008 or I would have my money refunded through PayPal on 11/24 -- the following Monday. Not only did I not receive the gun (or any word from KN), but I'm still trying to obtain my refund. To give you some perspective, I paid for the prop in June.

I understand that hiccups occur with such undertakings, and life gets in the way unexpectedly, but accepting money for a product that isn't anywhere near completion, not providing timely updates to paying customers, and presumably spending my money without providing a product in return is entirely unacceptable. He's mentioned being "strapped" in a response I received from him some three weeks ago. My money should never have left his PayPal account if he didn't have a prop to ship to me.

I've taken the matter up with PayPal and suggest that anyone else in a similar situation does the same. If you're considering placing an order for the prop gun he occasionally claims to have ready, or in the final stages of being ready, I'd think long and hard about parting with your money for something that's been "ready" to ship since June of 2008. Talk is cheap . . . Although King Nothing has been paid handsomely for it so far.

Greg, if you're reading this, I'm pursuing legal action to obtain the money I sent you in June. Overall, it's the principal here. Your lack of communication and repeated string of broken agreements speaks volumes about your business practices. These practices do not bode well for your ability or likelihood to build a solid reputation and customer base on this site or anywhere else in the legitimate business world. Trust and reputation is everything in business. You've irrevocably damaged both with me for good.

Buyer Beware.

Regards,
Matt
