G&B Expo jacket buyers question
Like a few other posters here, I just got mine this week.
Unlike the original reference jacket I got a month or so back, the white plastic wrap bags holding the jackets were not sealed (I had ordered a 44Reg along with the 44Tall just to be certain of the sizing).
For other G&B jacket buyers, was your bag sealed closed inside the cardboard box shipped to you by G&B?

My jacket arrived inside a cardboard box. Inside the box was a white plastic bag, that wasn't sealed. The original reference jacket I received was sealed, and the jacket "seemed" newer, shinier, etc.RobocopIndy wrote:Yes, mine was sealed... but it was just like a standard UPS plastic bag with a heavy tape seal, only plain white.
The 2 jackets I just got this week were also in their own white bags, but both bags were open, or unsealed.
I ask this b/c I am wondering if these jackets were returns from someone else?

That's a good point, Blue. They were "not sealed," so perhaps they just forgot to seal them in the rush to ship out so many orders. Just look at how many people on this board got their jacket this week.BlueSkyz wrote:Were the bags 'torn' open or just 'not sealed'?? I know when I got my jacket, the bag was sealed shut but when I got done they were NEVER going to use that bag again......................
Are you happy with the jacket? Hope so........
G&B's reputation speaks for itself, so if there is anyone who deserves the benefit of a doubt, it's them. I am of mind that this is a company that just doesn't make mistakes, so I was wondering if they were returns of other's jackets (maybe b/c of sizing issues?).
The jackets do appear new, with tags on them, though.

I will call them on Monday to clarify, but I suppose that they may have simply just neglected to seal the bag before shipping, at least I'd like to think so. If someone else had bought the jackets and returned them, simply b/c of sizing issues, I could live with that. If that is the case, they should have let me know, though.

Mine also came in a box within an unsealed clear bag. It also had a tag on the zipper with my name on it. It was absolutely brand new. The leather was so shiny and slippery that it looked like that they just cut it and put it together that same day. Too bad for me, I had to return it because it was too big.

Agreed, as the jackets are identical in sheen and odor, as if both were cut and made simultaneously.TheMechanic wrote:Mine was made to order and came in a box. The jacket was in an un-sealed bag inside the box.
They are new jackets. I guess some bags get sealed and some don't depending on who's packing the box.
No big deal.
Even for tough goat, if the jacket isn't new, you can tell, but my guess is they just were rushing to ship them out. I'll inquire, but at this point I am just glad I tried the 44Reg to confirm it was too small, and that the 44Tall was the right fit.
