How many out there own the LC Spcial Offer washed goat?

Post by Raider S »

I ask because I think I really want one. I've seen a few photos and they look beautiful. I can get past that's it's not made in the UK and it is, after all, still a Wested.

Just haven't seen a lot of buzz on here about them. Hoping to hear from a few owners who can force me to order one!

I have one. Fantastic jacket!.....thin as lamb, lightweight, drapes as well as a lamb, but stronger and tougher! It's the best Indy jacket for warmer weather in my opinion. Great jacket for a great price!

Hey PSB, I thought you were selling a washed goat? Is that a different one?

Does yours have elastic for the action pleat? Also, are there the foam shoulder pads?

Can you comment on the overall fit - is it cut different than a Raiders?

I like the looks of the all satin lining.

Thanks!

I've given this a lot of thought (way, way too much thought) and I have pretty much decided (like my adamant stand? :) ) that I'm going for a Raiders custom in the washed goat. It looks so good and combines the best of drape and durability from what I can determine.

Then, it's a LC in Novapelle... ;)

No, I'm not selling it. No elastic and no foam shoulder pads.....where did you get this idea? It's not a 80's cut....it's actually a little roomy but fits me very well. Another great leather from Wested!

I had a special offer for a few days and it had shoulder pads. So yes, some come with this.

As far as the elastic, that's actually something I'd want if it had it. A good feature.

Do you have a Wested standard Raiders to compare the fit?

.....shoulder pads?!......that must really be a 80's jacket! .. I had a Wested standard Raiders lamb which I sold a few weeks ago, but when I had it, I did some extensive comparing to my washed goat......I would say the overall fit of the washed goat is very close to that of the standard Raiders. The washed goat is about an inch longer as far as the back length goes being that it's a LC/CS style.

Hmmm...I'm getting the idea this is not so popular a jacket. It looks very nice so I'm suprised.

I love the LC movie jacket distressed look, but I fear that this goat will be not easy to (natural) distress! What do you think? :-k

In my opinion, the washed goat looks fine right out-of-the-box. It already has that matte, "weathered" look. It won't take that much effort to distress it I don't think (but I'm not much into artificial distressing). This is a great looking and fitting warm-weather jacket......thin, lightweight, and very durable......I'm surprised not that many people have it (esp. now that Wested has the washed goat in Raiders syyle).....to me, it's a better jacket than Todd's standard and some of the other lambskins out there.

I agree, It looks especially good in a Raiders jacket. I'm just PO'd that he didn't have one in my size in stock!

The washed Goat will distress EASILY. As is, the jacket looks AMAZING out of the bag. I've worn it religiously and can already see those common distressing marks were all looking for.

It's a great jacket and If your a fan of Last Crusade...oh man..... this leather is perfect for that. If you want pics of the washed goat, take a look at my post.

It looks like a nice jacket but (apologies) it doesn't look like an LC - certainly not like the film LC jacket. The pockets are all wrong. Other than that, it looks like a nice Indy type jacket in a good looking leather.
