Introducing the Keppler 'Train Traveler' CS Fedora

Is the 7 1/4 arill available? Is a a standard or long oval? If a standard, I'll take it.
BTW, I spoke with you yesterday, but couldn't get back last night.
PLMK ASAP.
Many Thanks

I had the chance to handle one of these when I wen to see Lee at the Cross roads of the West gun show in Phoenix, and yes it is an awesome hat. I thought the felt had a great feel to it. I would have taken it from Lee then & there except I spent my cash on a Keppler Raiders belt, Raiders Holster, which were for my New "classic" S&W M22 M1917
Great lid whoever gets one WILL NOT be dissapointed. Great job Lee!!!

What a day. Yesterday I met the legendary Lee Keppler. WOW. He is every bit the gentleman as described. I had the opportunity to sit down with Lee and talk about Indy Gear. How awesome is that !!! I heard stories, jokes, and had a good old fashion conversation.
Lee, thank you so much for your time and for sharing your wealth of knowledge.
Now let's get to the hat, ... It is BEAUTIFUL !!! BEAUTIFUL !!! I knew when I saw the pictures of the "Train Traveler" on this forum, I had to get it. It's simply a gorgeous hat. And let me tell you, Lee got it down right.
Talking with Lee, this hat has the correct tallness as the CS grey hat. So needless to say, the hat is perfect the way it is.
The felt is smooth. The ribbon is perfect. The bash is GREAT.
and as fellow C.O.W member BOWIE pointed out before me:

BTW, I'll give you guys more pictures later in the afternoon.

"China Clipper"
Anyone have a photo of THIS hat? Is it the same gray/grey?
Does anyone own and/or have pics of the "new" Clipper. When I last talked to Lee he said he did not have any. Just wondered if there was as drastice an improvement as has been mentioned with his new Raiders hats. Also wondered if it is the same shade of gray as seen in the Traveller. Much appreciated.

In need of extra income ...
Here I am waiting for my first Indy from Lee and, seeing this grey lid, I'm ready already to get one of these too. But then I'll also have to get a grey suit!

Agreed. I just ordered a brown "Raiders" from Lee and I'm really leanin' toward one of hisOWJ88 wrote:Lee,
Hat looks great. I'm already foaming at the mouth for my new hat from Lee, this does not make things any easier.

grey hats now. I'll be back up in Oakland again next year and only 10 minutes away from
the clipper used in Raiders. It'd be kinda cool to have a grey fedora with me then - it'll give
me an excuse to go see the plane again. :junior:
Clipper pics
Lee,
If you happen to have one of your Clippers laying around, maybe you could take a picture for us all who are leaning toward a purchase.
Thanks,
Matt

"New" Grey Clipper
So, has anyone seen one of these? If its anything like the Traveller, it should be a nice hat. Just wondering about the color (darker?).

One of what? Clipper? Traveller? or the Brown Fedora?mcmanm wrote:So, has anyone seen one of these? If its anything like the Traveller, it should be a nice hat. Just wondering about the color (darker?).
I own the Traveller and it's Superb. A +++, seriously. It's a wonderful hat. I could only assume that the clipper would be nothing but goodness. How about that . The brown fedora, When I met with Lee, he had the prototype and man... was it NICE !!! I ordered one of those too and I can't wait !!!
Clipper
I too ordered a brown fedora from Lee a few months ago and am anxiously waiting its arrival. I was specifically asking about the Clipper (your Traveller looks great by the way). I just wondered if it was the same color, texture etc. as the Traveller and would have the same feel as the new brown prototype.
Thanks,
Matt
