You know, CitRon, I had this visual of you getting your jacket at long last, only to discover your very own arms had shrunk in the wash.

Lets get on with the pics. :) I love the feeling of getting a new jacket and must say the smell, on the two occasions I have recieved one, is probably the best part.

Why? Then the old boy could get all the gear he desired and not have to worry about his camera growing legs.....like mine does.

They, uh, they didn't find Venkman near the van, did they?

You know, you could have worn the CE to the scene of the accident and asked one of the investigators to snap a few shots for you.

"Hey, I know you guys are busy but..."
You should be ashamed... The man just lost his camera in a car accident... HIS CAMERA... and you have the nerve to bring up taking photographs.... [-( [-X

Ok guys, let the spankings begin... :whip:

I sent the CE back to exchange for a VIP, and didn't get pics before I boxed it up. #-o (ducks)

I just didn't care for the leather- it felt like a suede almost, and I just didn't like the pre-distressing. All I could think about was the cheap old 80's bomber jackets everybody wore (ducks again)

The fit though, was right on! I'm looking forward to the VIP, the Wings construction was very nice. :D

I understand. I think the distressing can lead to that dry suede feel you describe. After I put some Pecards lotion on my vintage cow it really took that away and made the leather much different. I wonder if the vintage has less distressing? Mine seems very nice.

I think the VIP will suit you well!

I just got a VIP yesterday, nice jacket. Fits me great, some say US Wings runs large but I don't think so at all. I'm 5'9" 180 pounds, 44 suit size got a large and I don't think it could fit any better. Just enough room to wear a sweater underneath in the winter yet not too big to just wear with a T-shirt. Sleeves were maybe a touch long but I'm sure they will contract a little. The leather is very soft with a nice grain to it, almost reminded me of a heavy goat hide but the leather is still light enough to drape nicely. I think this leather will distress very nicely over time.

Just goes to show that we all have different tastes. I really liked the look and feel of the CE leather (although I can sort of see your suede take). Since I didn't want to mess with the color, I put leather lotion on it and it made the leather a more supple with a different feel to it.

Exactly correct about the leather lotion.

I haven't worn mine for more than a few minutes as it's really for colder weather with the cotton lining. I'm sure it will break in nicely when the season turns.
