A Wested Development -

Post by mooniteman »

I'm so proud of my title -

And I just bought my 3rd and new custom wested - I'm hoping this is the one - the one that'll finally make me happy!

So how long do the custom Westeds take?

I feel like a kid before Christmas - I can't wait!

Mine took just over two weeks to arrive. I hope yours is just as quick, and is the jacket you've been looking for! :)
I've been wearing my LC/CS Novapelle for hours at a time since it arrived, and it's already so comfortable!

....and half an hour after my reply, I finally get the clever title!
And I was just watching season two of that great show on DVD earlier today! I'm slow...but it's 3am here, I should be asleep!

It takes 3 jackets from wested to "get it right" :?

For that much money you coulda bought a TN and "got it right" the first time.

Moonite man, what was wrong with the first two jackets? Were they "wrong" or did they just not have the details you wanted?

But he didn't. Instead he bought jackets from the company of his choice. Maybe he's not interested in the TN jackets.

2 reasons why not -

1) I trust Wested - any fault in the first two is my own and not theirs - and they made the original which is what I want - and it actually took 4 (including my 2 Westeds - U.s Wings and the Cooper) to learn what I want in a jacket.

2) I don't like the TN Jacket - it just doesn't look like a true Indy jacket - but a nice copy - I want the real deal.
Mooniteman, what was wrong with the first two jackets? Were they "wrong" or did they just not have the details you wanted?
The fit was off for my build - I'm very slim and I always thought I'd grow into the jackets.... yeah - not gonna happen.

I'm 21 - and well lets say I got some time before I tie the knot - and heck - my mom doesn't know a spoon from a cake.

My custom Raiders in Novapelle arrived two weeks after I ordered it (U.K. to Southern California), but I didn't make any special requests. I simply sent the measurements they requested and made my selections from the form on their website; I imagine the wait would be longer for customers who send them a long list of special requirements.

I wasn't soo - bad - but I did write a wee list - gotta make sure I get the sliders and scalloped pockets!

God how they put up with us is amazing - I really commend them for dealing with our nuttiness on a daily basis.

Cheers to you wested!

I ordered a custom LC in Novapelle on June 19. I made no extraordinary requests, other than tailoring.

Last Friday, 5 weeks later, I received an email from Wested that said that they were shipping my jacket later that day. I requested a tracking number, but still haven't received it.

Assuming they shipped it on Friday, it should have hit U.S. soil yesterday or today. I have no idea how long it will take to clear U.S. Customs.

The last Wested jacket I received amazed me at how quickly it traveled from England to Tennessee. 3 days after I received confirmation, it was handed to me.

So, you could be receiving it at any moment.

MM,
What kind of jacket did you order? Yes, custom sizing is great! What did you think of the Wings jacket?
