Bag strap buckle
Well, I understand Steffan at Prairie Flower now has a link to a website for a 1" strap buckle. This is great. I ordered a strap (and holster) from him last week. I would recommend him to anyone.
I bought my buckle at JoAnn Fabrics for a whopping 99 cents. A fellow gearhead informed me of said buckle some months ago, and Monday I had opportunity to pick one up. It comes in brass, which is easily removed to expose the right color by means of a Scotch Brite pad (green is best) or sandpaper, if you prefer.
Looks great. If you have a JoAnn's close, check it out. No doubt other fabric stores carry the same thing or something similar.

There's an after and before. I should have not let the flash go on the before, but hopefully you can tell the difference in color. Boy, that thing is blurry. There is also a bit of brass/gold color left in the corners, as shown in the pic. With it on the strap, though, it is not noticeable. I purposely got my ring in the shot for a reference. I don't have any pictures of it on the strap or of the holster, either. As far as the cut-out goes, I am not sure. I did have my gun (modified airsoft with walnut grips - very close) in there, but I am redoing the grips, and the gun is a bit naked right now. When I get it finished, I'll post in G&H.

Here are a couple to show the front and back, on the strap. The flash and incandescent light give this the wrong color cast. While the strap is truly not yet dark enough, the buckle is gold/brass only on the back. Also, the rivet is silver/chrome.
