My new WEATHERED AB holster from K on the Run

Post by Chris_King »

Hi everyone,

I already owned one of AB's SUPERB Raiders holsters. Marc and Kim had said that the leather was selected so that it would darken in time after being exposed to sunlight during outdoor wear. However, my holster is permanently displayed indoors on my Indy costume mannequin and I realised that it was never going to darken to a satisfactory Raiders colour.

I contacted Kim and he went that extra mile for me and made a new holster which has been dyed to a darker brown colour and also, it has been weathered to an amazing standard. I was thrilled to see how authentic it looks so here's a couple of pics. You can see the difference between the new weathered holster (on the left) and my older, slightly distressed holster (on the right).

I want to express my sincere thanks to Kim for making such a wonderful new addition to my display.

Cheers,

Chris

Thank you Chris, it's a real privilege to have my holster displayed like that.
How about a pic of the whole mannequin?

You are correct about the aging process, it's a mix of Pecards, sun and usage thats darkens the leather.

Cheers

Chris,

That's a great display! Love the Yoda too. I agree that the distressed AB holster is the way to go! I'm thrilled with mine and am going to let it darken naturally in the sun. Another satisfied customer! Thanks, Kim!

(p.s. - add me to the top of the list for the AB gun belt and bag strap)

Wow, Chris!

That display DOES look awesome! The holster is also fantastic, and I'd get one too if I had the spare cash.

Can I ask what the rest of the gear on there is?

IG,

Here's another pic of an AB holster to keep you salivating...

This one has not been darkened. It's the regular distressed version. It's definitely worth the wait! :D

Thanks Craig!

I think it was your post/pics that had me ordering a holster to begin with.

Love the mannequin setup you have Chris.... been searching for one myself for me Jack Sparrow wardrobe. Me thinks I will have to look for two now.
