Was at Home Depot the other day running through the self check lane real quick and heading over to a quick job site.
A young mother grabbed my attention and said to her child... (a young boy.. maybe 5)
This is she said:
"Ask him! Ask him what you said to me."
He looked timidly up at me and hid behind his mother.
She laughed
"He wants to know if thats 'The Hat"
I told him it wasn't 'The Hat' but it was darn close. And maybe someday he would have one of his own.
It put a huge grin on my face for the rest of the day.
Mom said
"Thanks ... bet you get that a lot"

I had a very similar experience a few days ago at Blockbuster. The guy who was ringing me up kept on glanging at my Keppler and finally asked "Is that THE hat?" with a very excited look on his face. I told him that it was not but that it was made by someone very important in the Indy Gear community and that it was a very good representation of the hat. I also told him that I had THE hat on order and who he could order it from (free publicity AB!!!). Comes to show that men and women of all ages can enjoy something with the excitement of a child. They can be as giddy as a school boy, even if they were not giddy...even as a school boy.
