Wested predistressed vs novapelle
Forgive me if this has been explained before as there's so much discussion of the novapelle.I own a Wested regular pre-distressed and was wondering what the differences between that and the newer Novapelle are. Thanks a lot.

Hi,
The surface is less cracked than the Pre-d, it's a darker colour and it seems to drape more readily.
When new the surface have a very subtle 'nap' to it, so, if you run your hand over it you can see it leave an impression, a bit like you get with velvet.
These pics are of one that has been treated with pecard.
This 3rd pic is a reasonable representation of it without pecard, the more caramel jacket behind is a US Wings Pre distressed cowhide A2.

My predistressed - bought in april - has exactly the same velvet/suede effect: now I'm wondering if it's novapelle... Perhaps all the pred are now in novapelle???Kt Templar wrote: When new the surface have a very subtle 'nap' to it, so, if you run your hand over it you can see it leave an impression, a bit like you get with velvet.
