Newbie Gear List....

Post by Indiana Rich »

I am new here . From what I have seen so far, I really like the comradre and friendliness of the boards.

My intention is to model my Indy costume on the beginning temple scenes of Raiders. So far, this is my gear collection:

Shirt : Ebay shirt...no manufacturer listed...quite a nice shirt and sa

Pants: I purchased two pairs of pants about a year or 2 ago from Dillards. Not sure of the manufacturer. They were discussed here as being very sa in both appearance and color.

Gun Belt: Dark Brown Raiders style off Ebay

Gloves: Distressed Wells Lamont gloves from Todds (very nice)

Bag: Original Mark VII obtained off ebay. Markings identify it as MARK VII W.E. & S. LTD. 1942. Bag is in excellent condition. No dry rot, no musty smell. All internal compartments are accounted for. It even has the original tie down strings. I added a Todds raiders leather strap to it.

I also have an replica Mark VII that I use for everyday knock around. It is much more tan in color than my original, but otherwise has all the same features and compartments. This one also has a leather strap.

Web Belt: Dark Brown Raiders style off Todds

Gun : Resin replica aged and distress painted from ARTSEE on ebay ( Very nice..hard to tell from actual thing...even close up)

On the horizon to be purchased (Hopefully in time for Halloween)

HJ Poet bashed to Raiders Idol Grab style
Wested Raiders Leather Jacket
10 ft 12 plait Joe Strain Indy Whip in natural (saddle) tan
Raiders Holster (probably from Todd if he gets them back in stock)
Tanaka Browning Hi Power from Todds
Raider Journal from Magnoli
Indy's Pocketknife (Thanks for the link to Andymac84)
Raiders Sandbag
Raider's Map room brush
Temple Map

Couple of questions:

If Todd doesn't get his holster back in stock, any recommendations?

Anyone know how long the wait time is for a Strain whip in 10' length? Also, any recomendations about what specifics I should ask for when ordering?

Anyone know where I can get a Raiders sandbag?

Any gear items missing from my list above?

Thanks

Great list. Not sure where else to find an affordable (budget) holster but the main site has a great list of vendors on it.

The only thing I see missing is the boots.

For the holster, you could try Magnolia or Western Stage Props.
