Special suit for a special day

Post by Indiana Max »

Hey fellas
Yesterday was the celebration for our age-group at school.
Like nearly all others, I have my general qualification for university entrance now \:D/
It was a really a special day, so I chose a special suit

That's awesome dude! Congratz. I'm glad people like us have such a great sense of fashion, I wore my magnoli shirt, taupe pants and black tie to my high school graduation yesterday. :D

Max, where did you get your dinner jacket? It looks GREAT!

With the exception of Magnoli, I haven't been able to find a cream colored dinner jacket with the correct lapels.

Great outfit!!

Wow, thank you all for your kind words :notworthy:
Many of my fellas in school identified my suit as a piece from the Indiana Jones trilogy, but no one knew from which movie exactly
The Dinner jacket cost me 20 $ on German ebay a year ago, the pants are from my black tie (Smoking), the shirt is a tailcoat shirt, like the vest is a tailcoat vest, the bow tie is a self bonding one and my shoes are casual black shoes...That´s it

A great outfit! And what a bargain - $20 for the jacket! But next time you've got to get some nice dress shoes, as casuals will severely detract from the overall look.

A cheer for Ebay!

It used to be so difficult to find "almost" "close-enough" "budget versions" of classic clothes. Now there really is no excuse for sloppy dress -- unless that's the "look" you're after.

I need one of the pieces your father collected. A bronze piece about this size ...

Wait a minute, wrong movie.

The deal was for the diamond!

That surprises me that several classmates recognized the outfit. If I had seen this picture outside of this forum I don't think I would have recognized it immediately.

The "tux" looks fantastic on you.

The coat looks as if it were perfectly tailored to you!

Question: What did you end up using for cufflinks?
