Musty MKVII
Does anyone know how to get the must smell out of a vintage mark VII? I recently got one but it smells pretty bad. What if I stuck it in the washing machine? Would that damage it in anyway?

It asll depends on the integrity of that particular bag. I've heard of some folks bags coming apart in the wash, while others came out squeaky clean.
If you want to do it the safe way, get yourself some OxyClean(or similar product) and wash it by hand in a tub. I've done all of my MK bags this way, and they came out really clean, AND no funky odor.
Good Luck.

Well the hand washing did't have much effect so I went ahead and tossed it in the laundry with some Woollite.
Well the smell is mostly gone and the bag and the stamp both held up. But I left the original strap on and it got shredded, I assume by the valve on the side so i suggest removing the strap before you throw it in the laundy and wash it alone.
