ok i must be one step above and ape. i wore my fedora outside doing yard work. i sweated through the hat and stained the ribbon is there any way of cleaning the ribbon without the whole hat? it dried and stained the ribbon

What you have on the ribbon are salt stains from the salt in your sweat. You can take a wet rag or some wet q-tips, and the stuff should rub out.

I recall Fedora once mentioning that you can use naphtha to clean salt stains. I'd do a bit more research though before trying this.

HahHaaahaaHahah, yes natural. Ya know sometime I wear my Fedora when it hot and humid just so I can sweat in it. 1) it shrinks the sweat band (for a snugger fit) and 2) natural distressing.

Yaaaaaaaaaa, gotta get me one of those one day soon. I've been watching a paticular thread on the Camptown straw fedora, sounds like he's coming out with one soon.

the hat looking fithy i like cause it is filthy but those sweat marks i think makes it look bad it looks patchy for lack of a better term. would post pics but in hong kong right now. gonna look for a different one over here. hopefully i can find an akubra or something
