What I got on eBay last night: A Mark VII bag
I got an original (Canadian made) Mark VII Gas Mask Bag
Most that I have seen on eBay go for over $60, Usually higher than that.
I got this one for $29.99 because it has a hole in the top flap, I figure I can repair it using some of the fabric from the inside pockets (or the back)
and then use modern fabric (unless someone has a real trashed one that wants to offer me a 6"x 6" piece of ) to replace the removed piece. This is even 'distressed' already, I will have to distress some of my costumes other parts now too!
I am very happy I am closing in on the last few pieces to really make my costume even better
And, Happy Fathers Day to all the other Dads out there

I like how distressed it is, but I think I want to draw the line at a Hole in it
I offered $20 plus shipping and they guy told me it wouldn't be fair to accept it (he would have if no one had been watching it) to the other three people watching it. So, I did the buy it now for $29.99. A decent price.
I might think about making some replicas myself now:)

Sorry to ruin the party but for that price you could have bought a MKVII in pristine conditions from Kevin Endicott at http://www.endicotts.co.uk/
30 dollars is way too much for a MKVII in that condition nowadays.

Well, what would the shipping from the UK to the US have added to that price AND I didn't even know that place existed until you posted
Most of the MKVII bags on eBay here go for over $60-$75 and I really couldn't afford that, I have already spent over $400 on my costume ( I got an Indy Airsoft gun last night)
I got what I could afford and once I fix the hole and make a nice leather strap for it I will be very happy with my purchase
Also, I am considering making copies if it to offer on my costume web site

Just for fun. I ran the numbers
I paid about $35 including shipping for my distressed MKVII
If Endicott's had the "Hand Picked by Kevin" bag available with the exchange rate from the UK to the US the total cost with shipping would be $50.84USD
Second, If Endicott's had their "First Pick" bag available it would be $41.02USD with shipping from the UK
Lastly, If Endicott's had their "Used" bag available it would be $33.65USD with shipping from the UK
I think I got a reasonably deal and wont have to do much aging at all

Well if you're happy with your purchase, that's what is important

Kevin posted more info on his website, nothing to worry aboutriothamus wrote:Unfortunately, its been on hold since June 2. They've just updated the page. For a few days they didn't even list the MKVII's as availabe in the collector's page. I've been waiting to order some.
Excelsior,
Riothamus
