Here you go guys..
CS washed goat vs. LC Novapelle vs. LC Horsehide:

..Just so you know, the washed goat pics were taken straight out-of-the-box so it's a little wrinkled.....However, it's definately NOT as wrinkled as the samples seen in previous threads. Some notes about this jacket...it's very light-weight!.....lighter than lambskin actually but quite durable.....makes a great spring/summer jacket! Color is great! Fit is great! I'm going to put some Pecards on it to soften it up just a tad. Overall, I'm very pleased.....another winner from Wested!!

I'm a size 44 reg. Yes, my washed goat was OTR (custom is not available at the moment). It's a great jacket!.....It's thin but strong...perfect for spring/summer nights!IndyFalco wrote:PSBIndy,
What size jacket are you? Was this an "off the racks" ?
I just got a glimpse of the "Washed" goat Wested, and it's fantastic.

The washed goat is a lot thinner than my Novapelle (and more lightweight), but the leather feels very strong. To me, it's the perfect jacket to wear on a cool, spring or summer night! Since receiving it yesterday, I'd applied a thin coat of Pecards on it and now it feels very soft and looks even better than before!Aggie wrote:From the pics, I prefer the washed goat myself. It drapes better and it has a unique look. To me, novapelle looks like what you'd expect a leather jacket to look like. I want something a little different.
How is the durability of the goat compare to the novapelle?
Oh BTW, I noticed my washed goat does not have a "Union Jack" label or "made in the U.K." label......probably imported from China or India. However, I don't see any drop in quality in the jacket from my other Wested, made-in-the U.K. jackets. .....maybe Peter gets his washed goats from the Far East....who knows?

So are the leathers essentially the same (i.e. the grade)?......whether it's put together in India or in the U.K.?.....or is the lambskin leather that comes from India vastly different from U.K. leather? ...Is the price difference of the jackets due to the labor costs or grade of the leather?Kt Templar wrote:Most of the OTR's the new "specials" are £125 the goat Rotla is £135. They are made in India.
Anything custom is made in the UK and all the novapelle, horse, cow are made in the UK too, some of the OTR lamb is UK too. Those run £145-165+.
So there is a bit of price difference.
Here are some pics of my Washed Goat (LC) with some Pecards on it.

Pecards softened it up quite nicely. Out-of-the-box, the leather was slightly stiff and very "dry." Pecards also has slightly darkened the leather somewhat, but I really like the overall effect.

Seems to be a labour cost saving mainly.PSBIndy wrote:
