Work America Boots----Close Enoughs!
These are the "Work America" brand work boots. They come lighter than this and you have to dye the Chocolate Brown. Not bad for $99 plus the cost of dying them. I have started to weather them but I will now naturally weather them in Kauai!!!

Boots
Now that you have them, can you tell if the sole is repairable?

i did. i got the Amazon page indyfyfe just posted and a link to MSN Shopping, neither of which offered the boot in anything smaller than an 8. I can't take anything bigger than a 7, and some brands i take as small as a 6. Unless you've done it, you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find an affordable work boot in 6 1/2 EEE. That's the main reason i've been wearing the same brand of boot for the last three years.Indiana wrote:Try a google search.

Finding the right size

That Amazon link doesn't carry my size. I found their selections very limited.
Edited: With a little more searching, I did find a Work America Boot on Amazon with an A width, and placed it on my wish list. I won't need it for my Indiana Jones outfit, as I have the Aldens and it doesn't have a moc toe, but finding a work boot in my very narrow width was a treat. I'm Indy gear poor right now, and it isn't a requirement for my current job, so I'll hold off on getting it, even though there is only one pair left in my size. I guess the point is to keep trying and you may find that hard to fit shoe or boot.
I know what you are talking about. I have the opposite problem. Try finding an A or AA width in a work boot. It's not very common, either. That's why I was super stoked to see the Alden 405 in my size and width. You actually need three numbers when fitting shoes. You need the length (size) and width, but you also need the heel size, which in my case is either a AAA or AAAA. Very few shoe makers offer sizing to fit me, so I gobble up shoe finds when I find them.Unless you've done it, you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find an affordable work boot in 6 1/2 EEE. Working boot, NOT Indy
Here is a work boot in the 6.5 EEE size, but due to the green safety striping on the sole, and no mock toe, it's not very good at pretending to be an Indy Boot
