Hi folks, thought I'd share some pics of a coupe of whips I recently finished. The natural tan is 10ft with wide cut strands and the saddle tan is 8ft with narrower strands. I'm particularly pleased with the saddle tan- it made a nice change from working in natural tan the whole time. The third whip in the last pic is my '92 Morgan

Yes, they're both roohide - I don't work in cowhide. I used to get hides from David Morgan but now I get them from a guy in Australia.PyramidBlaster wrote:Nice looking whips! All these 'Roo?
Where are you getting your hides from? That saddle tan looks really, really nice.....
Thank you all very much. Most of my whips are made in homage to David Morgan, but with the saddle tan I wanted to do something more like a Joe Strain - not quite such wide stands and a generally neater look than Morgan's. I'm very pleased with them both and have been busy annoying my neighbours with them.
