New Keppler fedoras?

Post by wearp »

Has anyone heard when Lee will be shipping any of his new fedoras? I ordered one around 11 April. I'd read that he had trouble with getting an order of the new hat bodies from Beaver Brand. Yes, I know I could call him and ask myself, as he is a very nice man and doesn't mind phone calls. I just hate to bother him with a question he is probably innundated with, and was hoping someone in the forum may have gotten some intel.
Thanks.

I didn't know they came in gray! Is it still a Beaver Brand body? Any photos anywhere?

"China Clipper Grey" Indy Fedora

Post by YARVTON »

In the vendors section describing Fedora options here at indygear.com, it specifically mentions that the Keppler Fedora is available in two colors, the GRAY being "China Clipper Grey" with black ribbon. I went back to the Keppler website -- where I THOUGHT I saw some mention of this, but couldn't find it. There is a photograph of a man wearing a gray fedora, but no details. Might this be it?

I just wanted to hear from COW folks first. I know the hat gets great reviews, but I'm always interested in feedback -- and of course a photo helps. It really boils down to this: Do I like the shade of Gray?

I chatted with him about 2 weeks ago and he said it'd be about this long for him to get the bodies then he'd start cranking them out to those of us who've ordered.

Just ran into Lee at the Costa Mesa Gun Show. He had a prototype of his upcomming Fedora in his booth. I even got a chance to try it on! It is definately a very well put together Fedora. Everything seemed to be just right. This man has definately done his homework!!

I would consider it a perfect Fedora at an excellent price!! Plus Lee's a great guy to talk with also!

Thanks again Lee for for sharing the Fedora with me. I hope to be purchasing one in the near future!

Thanks for the intel, Randy. I'm really anxious to get mine, as many others are as well, I suspect.
