I'm looking for a KOTSC jacket thats around $300. The only problem is that I'm quite small, I'm only 5'2. Where would I go look for a jacket thatd accurate and would be tailored to fit me? Sorry once again for the newbie questions!

no problem. newbie question or not. e-mail Peter from Wested, he can give you more feedback on that.

As a reference point, I just ordered a new Wested with some custom measurements and the total with shipping came to $362.

Well... I'm the same height as you and I have my favourite... as you will probably have noticed!

I will say, I've tried a US Wings and they are too long, G&B standard will be to. Magnoli will be able to make to your size but for more than a Wested. Nowak is outside the budget you specified.

I've had a lot of luck with just off the peg Westeds. Perhaps a lot of people order their customs too short and I have been the beneficiary! :) You might want to ask them if they have any shorter jackets in stock.

The standard OTR raiders may work for you. But I'd avoid the ROLTAA it's too long for me.

I find Wested's to run on the short side normally, so off the rack might work out fine.

For whatever reason, my Wested LC jacket is about 2-3 in longer than my Wested Raiders, even though both are size 44R. Is this normal?

As far as I know...no! The difference is 'supposed' to be 1".

I say 'supposed' because I have 2 size 44 Wested raiders that have 1.5 " difference...and one isn't a long.

Lots of places have small and extra small jackets on clearance at super discounts. It may pay to look on some web clearance racks.

A newbie question!! Someone throw a refridgerator at that guy.

Just kidding :)

As a fellow vertically challanged person, I am currently curious about US wings new kids Indy jacket. The sizes go up to ' ages 18 - 20'. I eamiled Wings about this but they said they dont get their size charts in until next week so they will email me back to see how this compares.

The great thing about this jacket if it works out is that its around $135 if I remember correctly. Of course you would have to decide yourself on accuracy - I think some accuracy is going to be sacrificed, but then depends what is important to you.

I just went on their website and they had some pretty good pictures of the children's jacket. An 18-20 should fit me perfect and it looks pretty accurate. Can someone confirm that?

And at $135 dollars for a jacket and a free fedora..how can I go wrong?

I contacted US Wings to cofirm the sizing with them and they said they dont have their sizing charts in but will next week - somewhere else on the forum I see they said they dont get the jackets in until June 15th. So after then I guess we find out the sizing for sure - I know from experience a US wings small is too big so need to know how the 18-20 size compares.

Read that entire thread you just posted, LJT. It's the Indy collectors edition only that gets the discount.
