Is there any online tutorials for bashing an Indy fedora to match certain scenes? I know that there is a tutorial for hat making, but the links I saw for bashing tutorials don't seem to be working. I was thinking particularly of the idol bash or the SOC bash.
I edited my post to add that I've been trying to look at all the threads dealing with this. The more I look, the more I'm attracted to the SOC hat. I've read about how you have to sit on and basically just abuse the hat to get the desired look and I understand the concept of turning the hat to get the tension the look has.
But what about shaping? Do you work on the bash first or the center dent? Does it matter? Do you use certain tools or should you just use your hands for shaping?
Any help is appreciated.
