Indy Hero Jackets - Where Are They Now?
After reading _'s spectacular history of the Raiders jacket, which answered many questions I've long pondered, it raised something else in my mind.
What happened to the Hero jackets for all of the films?
Raiders - Order #1. The original prototype jacket that became the hero jacket. Where is it now? Wasn't there an auction several year ago and it's now in the hands of a private collector? Destroyed?
Temple of Doom - Is Noel Howard's jacket the screen used hero jacket?
Last Crusade - Probably in the LFL archives, right? Hasn't the Smithsonian jacket been shown to be a copy or unused jacket?

Actually the Smithsonian Jacket was an un-used LC jacket pulled from the Lucasfilm archives and distressed before shipment to the museum.

Well, the Smithsonian website shows it was donated to them in 1989, when LC was released. I posted the link to the thread because _ gave the back story for the jacket in the Smithsonian. I'd say the guys got some credibility when it comes to the history of the jacket
Here's a link to the Smithsonian's article of the jacket and when it was donated.

He was definitely not being serious. One of the pre-release books that came out had an interview with Shia in which he talked about how he would pocket little coins and things every once in a while because he wanted to be able to have a prop from the movie.
He went on to say that Karen Allen got in on it and that -- later -- they caught Harrison putting some things in this pockets. He said it became a whole game of who could get the coolest stuff to keep from the props department.
So, don't let Harrison fool you. Shia's already told on him! LOL
