Anyone have good pics of the new pattern for a wested LC?

Post by D »

Just like the title says, I was thinking about ordering a Wested LC. I've read somewhere on COW that Wested re-did the pattern, specifically the collar. I was wondering how it changed. I would be most grateful for pictures of the new collar if anyone has them.
Thanks in advanced,

The LC is hard to get right. Wested's are not all that great. Remember the pockets of the LC are very different. Wide and short, Kid, wide and short. The collar is the least of your problems. Magnoli does this jacket proud.

If you want a spot on duplicate of the LC jacket go for a Magnoli.
I have the LC jacket and it could be one of the undistressed originals.

What version of Magnoli's jacket is the Last Crusade version? There are four to choose from: A,B,C, or D.

It would be the C version.

A= Raiders
B= Temple of Doom
C= Last Crusade
D= Crystal Skull

'Raiders' is my favorite of the films but I have to admit that the 'Crusade' is my favorite jacket.

Was the 'Crusade' jacket originally done in cowhide? It looks more substantial and is a different shade of brown as well.

I have a recent (this month) LC in Horsehide...I gotta say, it looks like the same as the film jacket to me-collar, etc... even though I ordered mine extra long.
I think my next one will be a Novapelle ala CS.

No LC was Lamb - just a different hide to the others. This comes up all the time.

I'd love to see pictures of this jacket if you have any!

I think Wested used to make their 'Raiders' jacket with a slightly bigger collar and press studs as their LC.

In the last year or so and with certain new information they have been able to re cut the collar and actually the whole shape of the jacket. But the 'LC' jacket is essentially their 'CS' pattern, I'm not sure that they really differentiate between the 2.

They may put single row stitching on the shoulder on the LC and double on the CS. I don't really know.

This is a veg tanned lamb, ignore the colour it was a sampler.

Thanks KT. That does look a little like Wested's CS collar to me too.

Bang goes that theory! :D

They may just not really differentiate then.

I've seen most CS's seem to have the very short side straps though.
