Does anyone know when these are coming in? I hope they will be shipped before the premier.

When I ordered mine from Lee a few weeks ago, he said I was likely to have it by the premiere. That sounds to me like they're still a couple weeks out, and he may not be able to predict when they'll arrive with much certainty yet. He's very nice to talk to, so you could always just give him a call and ask him about it. I don't think he's likely to mind (but if he does, don't come blaming me  ). You could email him too, but he's told me he is less than fond of that particular form of communication.

He prefers phone calls, as he's usually on the road.

Thanks guys. I don't wish to bug him any more than I already have. First I changed the bash and then I had to change the size, so I don't want to get him upset with calling again  . If it is ready before the premier that would be awsome.

I spoke to Lee last Friday and he told me that the hats using the new hat bodies and ribbons may not be ready in time for the premier. It all boils down to when the new hat bodies come in. It is pretty much out of his hands. He also told me that if he calls them anymore about when they will be arriving that he may push them over the edge. With any luck, Lee will recieve the shipment in the next few days. I know he will work is hands off to get these hats to us in time for the premier.

Good luck all, I hope he is able to get them out before the premiere. If not take comfort in the fact that when it does arrive it will still be 1 beautiful hat... :)

I spoke with Lee just the other day, and he also told me they may not be here by the premiere. I'll be hitting up the midnight showing here in Los Angeles and was hoping to have it by Wednesday.

I went ahead and seeked out a few "back up" fedoras in the meantime just in case, but hopefully the new keppler somehow magically shows up in the next few days.

Regardless, Lee has been fantastic and I feel the same as you, I'm so excited yet don't want to bother him any more with calls. I'm just waiting patiently now.

I also have some belts, holsters on order with him so hopefully those make it out before Wednesday as I have no back up belts regretfully.

I get home every day and peek out my car window as I pull up and check for a white box at my door step. It may not arrive in time, but I know it will look great when it gets here. Here is to all those waiting for those Kepplers!

Just got off the phone with Lee. There has been some sort of problem with the shipping of the hats and it will be about another three weeks before he recieves them. We won't get them in time for the premier, but at least we have an idea of when they will be coming in now.

sorry to hear that folks. i hope you have your backup feds in hand.

i totally understand how you feel.....my CS bagstrap won't reach me in time for my outing to the theatres....and i may or may not have my jacket in hand by then either......but don't let these things take away from enjoying the movie folks.....you can watch it again when all the gear shows up

No way is that going to keep me from enjoying the film. I have a Dorfman that I can wear. Not quite SA, but hey, who cares. My Magnoli MK VII may not arrive in time. But this is Indiana Jones! That is more important than any fedora arriving in time.

Yeah, regretfully they won't be here in time. I headed down to a local hat maker in Santa Monica to pick up a back up Fedora this past Saturday, so I'll have something. Everything is set for Wednesday night at Midnight except my belts now which are also on order with Mr. Keppler, but I'm holding out hope that they'll still arrive and I'll be good to go. :D

I'm fighting the urge among my excitement to call and confirm they've shipped and will be here in time.... must fight urge.... must not bother.

Where is there a local hat maker in Santa Monica? I lived there over ten years!

It's actually a hat retailer in Santa Monica on Pier Ave called Fedora Primo. They have a fairly nice selection, but not a huge Indy-esque selection regretfully. I was able to find a decent back-up there though.

Their website doesn't have very much on it, there's a lot more in-store plus you can order through them as well, but I don't believe they make the hats on site or themselves.
