Shocked! New bullwhip pics

Post by Weston »

I've been sitting here for awhile now trying to settle down and get my brain to quit spinning from the excitement! My lovely wife surprised me today with an early anniversary present: a stunning new 6' 12 plait bullwhip in whiskey by Bernie Wojcicki of EM Brand whips! I am completely blown away. I knew words would fail me, so I took some pics.

A shot of the engraving on the butt of the whip. This is a very nice extra Bernie adds to his whips and much appreciated.

Very smooth plaiting, perfect taper.

As you can see, it is plenty stiff! Even after a good 2 hours of cracking![/img]

Here they are together, #1608 from 2004, and newly arrived #2196. The older whip is an eight footer, significantly heavier. I really enjoyed taking turns cracking one then the other to see how they handled differently.

Last one. I truly am amazed, this is the second time this year my wife has surprised me with a tremendous piece of gear, and she says there is more to follow. What a wonderful woman! She told me she has been working with Bernie on this one for awhile now, trying to figure out what would be best in terms of color, length and style. She pieced together the order based on what kind of whipcracking and target work I wanted to do. And I thought I was boring her with all this whip talk!

And a big thanks to you Bernie! We are customers for life!
