(Finally) Complete Gear!

Post by Risu »

Hey everybody, I wanted to post a couple pictures because I finally finished my gear, just in time for the premiere. I also have a question. First of all, let me tell you I'm not happy with my jacket. Quite frankly, it's too big for me. I have a 39 inch chest and it's a 42, regular cut. I'll be getting a new one with the correct measurements in a few weeks, but what I want to know is from the two pictures, do you think I should go to the premiere with or without the jacket?

go with the jacket.I think it looks good.you can soaken the sleeves and bunch them up and letdry.this gives you the effect of shorter and more raiders sleeves.

now get it dirty! :D

I already showered in it. As for getting it dirty, the hat has some Fuller's on it and I'm waiting until the day of the premiere after I get out of my car at the theater to dust up the rest of it.

Sort of, yea. I was kind of working my way down and stopped there cuz I liked the look. I never used to part my hair before I grew it out, I always had the afro thing going one, but I'm definitely gonna stick with this now.

As for the LC/CS jacket, I've never been a fan of those. If I were to hang onto this jacket I'd distress it to an insane degree, but it'll do me more good funding my next Wested.

Great lookin' gear there,Risu. I don't think your Jacket looks over big on you. I personally have two jackets. One is a bit larger (USW), which I wear on colder days with layers underneath. My more fitted G&B is good for all other occasions.
I'm still on the fence too as for wearing it to the premier, depending if it is warm that day.

I went from a 39 to a size 42 chest due to regular swimming exercise, doing laps with a Master's team, and hour at a time from 3 to 5 days a week. Work those muscles and you'll fit just fine into that jacket.

As for changing my size to fit the jacket, I've been doing 50-100 pushups every other day for 8 months and my chest size has gone up one inch. I think I'm stuck there. And if anything I'm going to lose weight, I still have a bit of extra weight around the waist area that should be cleared up by the end of summer.

I think the jacket looks fine, nice set you have going there.

One thing, wow that bag looks green. I got a WPG orginal bag (it was my first gear!), i dont think it was that green at first, but I ran it the washer n dryer 2x, which certainly got that musky grandad's basement smell out of it, and lightened/loosened it up nicely.

I really like the color of the bag personally. With all that brown, the outfit really needs SOME color.

Nice gear!! I personally like all the color combinations...my gas mask bag is just as green as yours so don't worry  , I like it that way too. I also think that the jacket fits you quite well. Have do done anything to the jacket like weather or anything? It looks quite good.

My personal gear is a bit more darker, the color scheme is very close to the Crystal Skull Indy gear actually.

Congrats. Gear looks great.

My bag is also of a green(er) variety, I was going to try and dirty it up a bit but no color correction is needed in my opinion.

Most of the fan art I've seen features bags as green as yours - so that's pretty cool, I think.

Congrats on finally assembling the whole thing.
