I've been hanging out with a knife thrower here in LA named Jack Dagger, and we made this video about the can cutting trick that I do.

Awesome! Very skilful precision! If I would ever dare to try that trick with my cheap bullwhip I’m pretty sure the soda can would backfire right to my face!

That was nice! I would love to see something like that using one of those super slow motion cams, like the ones they use for ballistic tests.

I like my soda shaken, not stirred
Funny...and awesome video. I've only discovered your videos a month ago and I've found them very helpful in learning the basics. Now, I just have to wait until I get my first whip next week.

Hey Edge,

When you try that trick, I recommend you use an extra long cracker, about 12"-14" long, and tie a knots in the cracker that are spaced one inch apart to give the long cracker more weight. The long crack will save your fall from getting cut by the can.

The trick can be done with short crackers, but if you miss and hit the can hard with the fall, the aluminum will tear it up.

Hello Fink,

The trick requires a relatively heavy whip (or at least a whip that can deliver power), and most of your cheaper whips will only have the power to knock the can over, if that.

Regards,

Adam

You said "tie a knots." What do you mean? Where on the cracker? How many? Any video, photo, illustration or anything of that sort to explain?

Adam,

That was a lot of fun, especially the part with whip golf. How far could you launch a golf ball? May be interesting.

Cheers! :TOH:
