Can you Dye a Fed?
Can you dye a fur felt fed? if so what dye?

You can, but I wouldn't. Never mind I'm not sure what dye you would use, but depending upon the density of the felt, you may not soak the hat through well enough for the dye to take evenly. If it's an especially dense felt, it takes a LOT to completely soak the felt evenly, if you're lucky. Then there's the issue of possible dye bleed. Are you willing to find out the hard way that they dye will run down your face if you get caught in a rainstorm, or even if you sweat in it? I'm not saying it can't be done successfully, but dying a felt hat is much different than dyeing a shirt or pants.
i have dyed a stetson open road with Lincolns leather dye. It took alot of dye to get the right shade but it worked. After a year it faded quite a bit but one coat of the same stuff brought the color right back so I am reccomending it. The darker the hat to start the easier it will be and be sure not to dye the sweat or you will forever staining your forehead. I have heard that RIT fabric dye works well but you have to soak the whole hat in it. The leather dye can be swabbed on and it dries overnight
