From Kevin
Dear CoW members and players in our competition,we have a 'short-cut' aspect built into our clues. Those of you clever enough to find it will have an advantage, HOWEVER (!) the end result and ultimate WINNER in our comp will be decided by a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT method.
So in a nut shell, keep on finding those ARTIFACTS I have set and wait for
the next update from ERRI. Regards. Kevin

(hey I found the spot too!)

Read the BREAKING NEWS and please, if anyone has found the artifacts but not said it yet, say it publically so Kevin can add you to the list

http://www.endicotts.co.uk/index.php?cPath=121

I hope you have been collecting the ARTIFACTS or you have no
chance !! :P

I will confirm here (and have sent a message to Kevin) that I am still in.

I had discovered a little shortcut that I brought to Kevin's attention, and offered to drop out if it proved to be an unfair advantage, but he has assured me that it will be utterly useless in the final round. :D

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am having a great time with this competition. Win or lose, I've had a lot of fun playing the game.

Edit: For the record, " YIPPEE !! I HAVE JUST FOUND THE FORTH and FIFTH ARTIFACTS IN THE INDY COMPETITION !!"

Note: This ONLY applies to members who have followed the competition from

Robby, Kevin just told me that he added you to the news page.

He also gave me a little teaser of what the final will be like. From what I understood players will need, in the end, to discuss on the forum what exactly it is he is asking them. He will give each 'idea' a COLD / WARM / HOT / DARNRIGHT BOILING !! rating. More details soon!

Cheers

Erri

:edit: PS
Kevin will ALSO have a FREE-FOR-ALL-type competition where EVERYONE on the forum will be invited to play. It will be based on a 'PICTURE' which will be revealed at the very end of the main competition with a question which relates to ?????????

FINAL STAGE
From Kevin
I have now put the final 'puzzle' to be solved on our main news
page http://www.endicotts.co.uk/extra_info_p ... pages_id=8

From here the contenders will need to discuss on the forum exactly what I'm
after from the clues given.

At 23.00 HRS GMT on Wednesday the players who know the answer will be set a final challenge (the clever bit!).

This person will win the W&G.

Please tell me I'm not the first to officially say...

" YIPPEE !! I HAVE JUST FOUND THE SIXTH and FINAL ARTIFACT IN THE INDY COMPETITION !! By the way, I have also found THE COW IN THE FIELD !! How big do you think it is ?"

Oh wait, I am! :P

Sorry Erri, I guess that Cow on the field was not you after all! No offence... I meant Cow in a gearhead sort of way... Right. :P

Great !!, our first FINALIST is in !! Keep on trying to solve my puzzle. Once we have all the competitors with THE NUMBER (or the time elapses) and consequently the SIXTH and FINAL ARTIFACT we will be able to get a decisive winner. Keep those ARTIFACTS safe.

RE our OTHER COMPETITION for a MKVII, CAN YOU GUESS WHAT SIZE (height) THE COW is in my field ? Tip: It is probably BIGGER than you think. The nearest guess to the CORRECT SIZE (which Erri holds) will win ANOTHER MKVII. Anybody can enter just post your "SIZE" guess on the forum.

I would guess about 45ft by 150ft...

...But that's just me.

I hope more people make it into the final round! Castor Dioscuri is always faster than me, so it'd be nice to see someone give him a run for his money.

Well, I'd say the biggest hints are in the drip clues.

Archaeology sometimes requires that you dig deep into the past. Remember, Kevin and Endicott's have had a long history with this forum... How long, I wonder?

And as I said before, the DRIP CLUES really helped me when I was SEARCHing for answers.

Hot dang I figured it out! Haven't received my e-mail confirmation yet, but it's got to be it. Like the Nazi's...I was digging in the wrong place.

I was going to contest after my first guesses were proven wrong, but then I realized the Erri of my ways...

Derek

BTW-lingarn's clue is the biggest help. Obviously, once you figure it out, it all fits in. However, I will say that some "clues" aren't that much help.

Listen. Since I've met you I've nearly been incinerated, drowned, shot at, and chopped into fish bait. We're caught in the middle of something sinister here, my guess is dad found out more than he was looking for and until I'm sure, I'm going to continue to do things the way I think they should be done.

That's what scares me.

What do you mean?

Oh, Rats. Give me your torch.

What is it? I hate snakes, jock I hate ‘em. Stay here.........Are you crazy? Don't go
between them.........

All I have to do is squeeze.... That's usually when the ground falls out from underneath your feet.

What do you mean?

I don't know, I'm making this up as I go.
