Wested delivery time
Does anybody know the current turnaround for Wested trousers? If I ordered a pair, say, tonight, could they get to California in time for the premiere? Would it be cutting it close?

Risu, Wested is open on saturdays. I would say though, I would not be expecting wested to get trousers to me for the premiere if I ordered now, even over the phone. I would get some from PLATON though, his new paris pants look pretty good, and could probably get them to you before the premiere maybe. You would have to to e-mail him to find out. Wested is busy right now, extremely busy.

I was afraid of that. The Platon pants are about $1000 over my budget. (Exaggerating of course.) They look nice and all, but that's just way too much money for pants. I originally wanted to go with Magnoli pants, but there was a bit of a mixup gear-wise and I missed the window on those. I guess I'll be going with the LL Bean chinos then.

I am not sure what he is charging for these new ones, but it sounded reasonable. You could try Wested, I am just saying what I said because about back last year it took them a whole month to get me my pants and shirt and I thought it would be less. They were less busy then too. I guess Luke Warmwater must have got lucky cause I had to wait a whole month for unfinished pants. I guess you could call Peter up and see what he says, but I doubt he could get them to you in less than a month with all the jackets they have got to make.

My jacket I ordered in September got here in under a week. But I've heard the pants usually take longer for some reason. I think I've had enough shipping anxiety as it is, I'm going to order the LL Beans and get them in a week with some time left before the premiere to not freak out.
EDIT: And I believe the Platon pants are something like 130 pounds off the top of my head.

Hey Risu, I ordered my Goat Combo offer (Jacket+Shirts+pants) 2 weeks ago. They managed to send out the jacket and shirts on last Tuesday (which will be in this coming Monday for sure.), but Gemma was saying they are still waiting on the pants to be made which will be shipped separately... So currently, I'd say 2 weeks for jackets and shirts... 3-4 weeks for pants I guess... Hope this helps...

Yes, they do charge more and it's advertised on the site. In my case, it was slightly more because of the ladies sizing. And, I can't believe you got your jacket that quickly, Doherty. They must be churning jackets out because of the high demand now. My first Wested jacket order took about 2 1/2 months. I had to remind them at the second month because it seemed like they forgot about it. Then, I had to return it because of two issues and waited another two weeks. My second Wested jacket order was placed right before last Thanksgiving. So, the employees were on a break due to the holiday and then there was the Christmas holiday. But, I was able to pick it up in January while I was on vacation in London. However, the pants was not made yet. Mr. Botwright said the pants would be mailed to me in a few days. I had to remind them in April that I didn't receive the pants yet and I finally received it the second week of April. I kind of forgot to send the reminder since I was so engulfed in work. Ever since I got back from the vacation, the work volume increased to the point that I barely checked my e-mail account. I'm OK with the wait time since I'm very patient, but I don't like having to send reminders.Magnum Jones wrote:Does wested charge more for a custom fit? I have the problem of needing extralong in the sleeves but not that large in the body. I have to order extra large sizes to get the sleeve length. but then I just get a huge fit overall.
