Huzzah! G&B Expedition Goat arrived! Replacement arrived
Hi all,
I just picked up my new dark brown G&B Expedition in goat. I ordered it last Monday evening, so that was eight working days to arrive. By post no less.
Now that I own a G&B I can heartily agree with the rave reviews of this jacket. Now without further ado, the photos:
Thanks to G&B for such a fine jacket.
Edit:
I removed the photos showing the straps. I'll post new ones when my replacement arrives.
My replacement G&B Expedition arrived today with the straps in the correct place. Thanks G&B.

Another one in the G&B corner!! Congrats Hunter, your jacket looks great. The expedition collars are indeed stiff, but I am not ready to put pecards on mine yet, as I am still enjoying the "new" smell & feel. What I have been doing as a collar fix is zipping up the jacket, and setting a heavy pillow on it at night. It seems to be working so far...

Jacket looks GREAT!!!!!!
I would not have expected otherwise from a G&B. I just love their work, except for that situation with the straps. Again, congrats on a fine purchase and welcome to the G&B Fan Club.

dark brown???
Does this jacket look almost black in person, or does the brown shine through a little better? The "dark brown" appears almost black in your pictures...However, the style and fit are absolutely perfect. I'm very interested to know more about G&B. Great lookin' jacket though!

The G&B is absolutely TERRIFIC. It is a bit darker in color than the others, but it is made to Military Specs, meaning it is tough as a tank.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. And yes the straps were off by 1". Because I was so excited at receiving this jacket I didn't even notice it at first (sharp eyes coronado3).
Vendors do monitor these boards because before I could even decide what to do Lee Keppler PMed me with a message to contact G&B. I guess they had seen the photo and wanted to assure me that they were going to take care of the problem.
I shipped out the jacket today and when I called Drew at G&B he told me that my new jacket is already in production and should be ready to go as soon as they receive my previous one. I cannot fault their customer service one iota. They really do care about their products and their customers.
For the brief moments I had this wonderful jacket in my greedy hands I can honestly say that it is one of the best produced garments I've ever held. I can't wait for my replacement to arrive.

Hunter Jones- your jacket looks just beautiful, and it fits you very well. Nice to see a company stand behind their product and make it right.
I just received a nicely 'broken in' G & B goat from our own member Kittlemeier, and I absolutely love it. (Thanks again, Omar---he's a real class act) I think it's about 5-6 years old and it fits as though it was tailored for me. I've been comparing it to my Todd's Standard, and while Todd's is obviously a much cheaper, lighter leather, the two match up really well. The fit of the G & B is better, and the construction is much stronger, but look-wise they look good together. So, good job to both makers of these jackets. I just can't believe I'm finally able to own an Expedition!!!!

I love mine too. Just not all that crazy about the shiny, slippery lining or the lack of facings by the zipper (don't care if it's SA). Also the pocket placement appears wrong on most of them - too close to the zip.
Other than that, I think it's far better than my Wested in terms of look and manufacture.
Cheers
