Wow...this contest has the worst text formatting in history. I think I would have an easier time figuring out hieroglyphics than the craziness that is on that page.
I tried figuring out what was going on, but after clicking through like 5 pages of randomness I gave up. Seems more cost effective to just buy one in the end.
Contests like this have also bothered me because the person who wins is the one with no job really. The one who can sit at home and has the time to figure out clues gets a better chance over someone who doesn't have endless amounts of time.
Personally, I think the contest should be run where the entire contest is confined to one area of the website, the clues are already there (or get e-mailed out when they become available), and anyone who figures them out gets their name entered into a draw. You can say that the first one to figure out the clues gets 10 entries and the second one gets 9, and so on....
Good luck to the person who wins this, but personally can't even tell what is going on, I have no idea how this thing even works, there are way too many things to click on, it's just one big circular jumble of links, and I don't even know the contest rules/legalities (can anyone try, do you have to be 18, what country can you not win in, how do I know my information is safe, how do I know the contest is fair?)

OK, my turn. I know this is late in response...
And, your limerick leaves much to be desired.
I'm not a poet
and I know it.
Hey, I only mentioned the boy band because I was making fun of nicetrylaoche's name. When I see the word 'laoche,' it makes me think of Drew Lachey. I like how his username has a nice play on words: Nice try, (Drew) laoche or "Nice try" drew laoche.Montana Plains wrote:Do you really expect to win by mentioning a boy band to a group of adventure lovers? What you need is a limerick.

Nahh, Swindinana is not out of the competition, was just helping others with the first clue
Remember guys TEAMWORK, as Kevin said. When you find out the first clue hint it to the others that haven't guessed yet (although as Kevin said, tease not please).
Good luck to the rest of you. Kevin has just added some more 'clues' to help you out. We will need around 20 players for the next stages. Post publically when you have made it. Kevin will then add you onto his "WHO'S MADE IT" list.
The NEXT clue will be added at 23.00 HRS GMT tonight !!"
______
Anyway another clue is:
Krukan med guld i......... è alla fine del arcobaleno.........
(half of it is in Swedish, half of it is in Italian, thanks again Swindiana)

I guess I feel pretty stupid. I'm a pretty smart fellow and from all the blatantly obvious clues, I know what I'm looking for...I guess I'm looking either on the wrong page or whatever, but since the "rules" page isn't really up, I don't know if I'm supposed to e-mail somebody or what (although I suppose if I found it, it would tell me what to do)...oh well...
We are supposed to tease, but not please, once we've found the artifact.jedidentist wrote:I guess I feel pretty stupid. Which is to say hints but no answers. Wouldn't make too much sense to help other people catch up to you anyway, unless you were purely in it for the competition.
