I am up for it, I have one of Kevin's Mark VI. It would be great to have a Mark VII

BTW I also have a Magnoli. Great replica but you can't beat the real thing!

You seem REASONABLY (!) interested in this here competition !!

We may end up with a 'bogey' prize too if we only stay at 1 "No, I don't want the opportunity to win a "W&G" !! Not quite sure what we'll send him / her .........anyway, thankyou for your interest and KEEP ON VOTING as you have less than 72 Hours to go !! Any advance on '1' ?!?!

Another ENDYUpdate for you tomorrow. Any questions ? Do feel free to e-mail me ! Kev

Sorry guys, I’m that second “no”. It sounds fun but I just don’t have the time to check the web site each day to look for clues. Best of luck to everyone, that is a very cool prize.

I've already purchased two original MarkVII bags with original strapping, a WPG repro, that was my first bag (and daily work commute carryall) and a Magnoli replica. It's just my vote to say no thanks, so those of you who want to go for it, I wish you good luck. I have more than I need, so have fun and spread the good bags around the world.

LATEST UPDATE from Kevin
http://www.endicotts.co.uk/product_info ... cts_id=703
ENDYUpdate; FRIDAY MORNING (UK time).

Looking good !! Just checked out the 'COW' page and with an overall 'approval rating' of around 90% (unless anything weird happens) it's looking like the comp' will go ahead. I'd better get my Gear on !!

Voting CLOSES at 23.00 HRS Saturday (UK Time)..

But for now do keep on voting (only around 24 hours to go) PLUS I've upped the ANTE a little with the addition of a SECOND prize. This will go to (what is in my opinion) the BEST POST on CoW (i.e funniest, sarcastic , simplistic, rude (be careful with that one!) or maybe a poem !! Our current leader is : "Redsleighdown".........previous 'posters' can come back again
to have a chance!! But not to vote again obviously !!
THE BEST will receive A.N.Other Maker of MKVII in MINT condition from our 'hand picked' stock.

My favourite "post" so far.........Redsleighdown said : You can't spell Endicotts without W&G...or no wait.... Think Very clever !! Kev

Another ENDYUpdate for you tomorrow. Any questions ? Do feel free to E-MAIL me ! Kev

News from Endicott are that there will be a pre-competition on sunday (tomorrow) to explain how everything works and make sure it's clear enough.

On Monday the real thing will start.

I would like to remember and underline that there is a second prize available for the person who posts the funniest, sarcastic, simplistic or rude (be careful with that one!) comment of all. Not sure what the prize is though.

Well any update I will post as soon as I receive it.

Well Montana to be technical, which all geeks are, you voted "Yes!" not "yes" so the correct binary coding woud be 01011001011001010111001100100001. It might be sad that I knew that without looking it up, but it truly pays off that I'm a multi bi-lingualthingymajiggy.

If you don't like numbers, here's another representation of the above code:

Kevin just posted competition guidelines here:

http://www.endicotts.co.uk/product_info ... cts_id=710

Basically you have to make sure you work as 'A TEAM' initially as the more people there are near the end of THE ADVENTURE, the better.

Nicetry(drew)laoche tried to win
the secondary prize
of the Endy competition
by yessing his way to the tune
of the IJ theme - gaining a lead over RSD and me way too soon

He says to think in music notes
but thinking in English
is my cup of tea
you see

When the update was posted
on the Endry rules site
that stated that NATL
has joined the party
All I wanted to say
was "Nice try, (drew) laoche!"

So I wrote this poem
in hopes of gaining the lead
so I could be the one
to bring that trophy home

Drew Lachey (pronounced as la che) was a singer in the once popular boy band called 98 degrees. He was also a winner on Dancing with the Stars. Image

Edit:
Latest in.........Nicetry(drew)laoche
Yes, Endry likes my poem. :D

Do you really expect to win by mentioning a boy band to a group of adventure lovers? What you need is a limerick.

Here's the first one.

There once was a professor named Indy
Who carried a whip that was quite bendy.
We've all waited too long for his brand new adventures
At this rate I’ll chew on my popcorn with dentures.

not trying to be a jerk here but...
a $30-ish valued prize? Kinda reminds me of microsoft giving away a couple FREE 10- game downloads on xbox live...thats it?
Getting anything free is nice but to me prizes need to be a bit more substantial to get my interest, especially if they ask to do more than drop a card in a fishbowl or type in an email address..
